Royal Mail refund large letter

Hi. If a package goes missing, I know I can claim using the tracking number, but large letters don't have a tracking number so I know I can ask for a physical form from the post office.

I don't fancy going to the post office just to pick up a blank form, what with the new strain of covid pushing me into tier 4. Also, you know, irresponsible of me to do so since it's an unnecessary trip. Does anyone know whether that form is avaiable online these days? I can't find anything on the RM website.

It's really annoying that you can't put in a claim on the website without entering some form of tracking number, yet they don't give you one on the POP.

Ta muchly.

You can make a claim online and you don't need a tracking number.

You will need a proof of postage receipt and will need to take a photo of it to upload to the claim as well as evidence of the sale and the buyer paying.

I made a claim for a large letter item last year, provided the evidence I mentioned above and they paid out in less than a week.
