How do I list antique taxidermy without getting it removed?

eBay removed my listing of an antique stuffed Barn Owl, but there are other examples for sale. What do I need to say or select to assure the “system” that I am not in breach of rules on trading endangered species? This bird died at least 100 years ago!

Thank for any help you can provide.

Honest answer.

If eBay have removed it don't try to relist it, that is just asking for account suspension.

Looking to see what's listed for sale, is not the way to see what can be listed here. You must check Ebay's Seller Centre or Policies for that information (links at foot of any page).  There are lots of things listed which either breach the rules or break the law, which is why Ebay has a 'Report' button on every listing, and has the Money Back Guarantee in place.  Your listing was removed because it was found by Ebay or reported by an ebayer. If similar items are still listed and are not allowed here, it's because they haven't yet been found or reported.

If you've read Ebay's policies on taxidermy, and are sure the item doesn't breach any rules, contact them and ask for an explanation. Help & Contact is at top and foot of any page, with Live Chat and Request-a-callback available during working hours.

The majority of Taxidermy listed seems to be outside the UK, so may not be covered by UK Rules.

Trying to find details of Ebay Policy as references to Lists goes nowhere.

As already said once removed, it could be very serious if you relisted, as it will be flagged up.

If removed by a human they would have no idea of what is allowed and what isn't. They have probably never even heard of or seen a Barn Owl.
