Hi, ebay have charged me a sellers fee on an item but the buyer hasn't paid.how do I advise ebay that I have relisted it? I don't want to pay the fees twice.
In addition to the advice that has already been given here, if you open an Unpaid Item Dispute but the buyer pays up make sure that you get the item despatched as soon as possible and send it via a fully tracked means of postage. Upload the tracking number to eBay at the earliest available opportunity once you've posted the item, as that way both the buyer and eBay will know that the parcel has been despatched. If you send the item via a tracked service it'll also improve your chances of being able to successfully defend yourself against a false Item Not Received case should the buyer start making false allegations of non-receipt of the item. As soon as eBay see that the item has been delivered they would decide the case in your favour and the buyer would be unable to leave you any feedback. If the buyer left you bad feedback prior to you winning an Item Not Received case you could successfully get the buyer's feedback removed by eBay if you were to get in touch with them quickly and request that the feedback be removed in light of the fact that you won the case.
Whatever the outcome of this case I would advise you to add this buyer's User ID to your Blocked Bidders List, even if he/she does pay up once you've opened an Unpaid Item Dispute against him/her. If you click on this link https://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/ebay/isapi.dll?bidderblocklogin a big white box will appear on the screen. Add the buyer's User ID to that box, then click on the Submit button beneath it. Once you've done that the buyer will be unable to purchase anything else that you list on eBay in the future, in which case he/she will not be able to waste any more of your time.
