Can i relist an item before a seller confirms cancelation?

Can i relist an item before a seller confirms cancelation or do they hold me to ransom for 10 days?

No, you can't relist before a cancellation is complete.You otherwise risk having two buyers for the same item, and all the problems that will obviously cause.

Not sure where the 10 days has come from...? Cancellations are usually very quick. Can you explain?

The resolution centre states the "Buyer" has 10 days to cancel although he's already told me he's changed his mind.
