Can I send a PayPal invoice when cash on collection has been put on system?

I have "sold" two items to the same buyer. They can go together in one package & save postage. I asked the buyer to do the BIN but not pay so that I could send a combined invoice. Unfortunately he opted to change it to cash on collection (he can't collect & I don't expect him to) as he maintained he couldn't complete the action otherwise. Now I can't send an EBay invoice as the system says it's CoC. Can I send a Paypal invoice instead or do we have to go through  the cancel & redo option?

You can try a Paypal invoice using the Send & Request link at top of page in your Paypal account. 

If not see if you can add postage to an ebay invoice.  On My eBay click on More Actions > Send Payment Details, far right of item on your sold page.  Add the postage and submit (don't tick "reset" if it's there).

If that doesn't work you'll have to cancel and relist for them to buy again.

The sending of the Ebay invoice is blocked. If I chose send a revised invoice (there is no "send payment details") I get this.
We can't process your request due to 1 of the following reasons:
Buyer has already paid for this invoice.

The invoice was created more than 30 days ago.

The first option being the one, the CoC choice has prevented any invoice from being generated which is why I asked the question. But as you say I can use a PayPal invoice I will do that.
