We received an unexpected message this morning from a buyer who purchased one of our items around a week ago, claiming that they paid twice for the item, expecting two of them. We're struggling to find help for this as on our PayPal transactions, we have only been paid once, and we never had more than one of the item we sold to begin with so we don't know how two were ever purchased. Initially upon receiving the product they were very happy and even left a positive review for us and we had no indication otherwise that they had purchased more as we offer combined postage and wasn't contacted about this, it also seems strange that the buyer in question left a positive review before receiving the 'second' item.
Buyer is asking for a refund or a similar product, but as we're new as a seller, we wanted to seek help from experienced sellers. We're not sure how to resolve this issue, do we reach out to PayPal or eBay? A lot of people have said that it's most likely a scam to get money back or a free product, however we want to take this seriously, we never know whether or not this is an honest claim.
Any help would be appreciated!
what was the item?
they are trying it on, just put them on your blocked list and ignore them

I've just read the blurb on your listings, if you are buying to sell you need to Upgrade to a Business Account
