Product Research tool inaccurate?

I have been using the product research tool (formerly known as Terapeak) for the last 2 years and have found it extremely beneficial to track average prices and sell-through rates etc.

However, since eBay introduced the buyer protection fee, this tool has become increasingly unreliable. For example, I've searched for a product and the average fee displayed on Terapeak will be say £15 but when you click the listing it is almost always higher as for private accounts this is the selling total less the buyer protection fee.

However for business accounts the waters muddy a bit. For example, tool showed £77 as the sale price but when I clicked on the individually listing it was actually £104. Is this figure on the tool therefore net of the business seller fee also?

This obviously affects the overall average displayed if it's showing net figures for both personal and business, which means the overall figure isn't that accurate.

Am I interpreting this correctly? Is there any way around it?
