Final pricing due to Buyer Protection Fee makes eBay horrible to use

I'm not sure if I am on the correct 'Board' here.. I have chosen Selling Tools as wasn't sure if I was part of Seller Central or not.. not being a business/paid account

Anyway - this is by no means a new topic but I just want to add my opinion.

Listing products is a horrible experience for me for a number of reasons but the main one is the pricing calculation and final price figure.

I am sure hundreds of people have already commented on this.. but it is absolutely awful (to use a polite word, though I can think of many alternatives).

What.. I mean.. WHAT is the point of this absolute trashy garbage. I just want to set my price.. of whatever that is.. £1.99, £3.99, £4.50, £7.75.. whatever.. but I CAN'T do that.. eBay just won't let me do that.. because whatever price I set there will be a calculation for Buyer Protection Fee.. and it's not even something I can predict and calculate because the guidelines say 'up to 75p plus 4%'.. so I don't even know what that means .. 'up to'.. and even so.. it's extremely annoying.

WHY OH WHY .. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE.. WHY MAKE THIS LIKE THIS.. WHAT IS ACTUALLY WRONG WITH THE DEVELOPERS..

So much junky web dev on eBay.. Yes yes thank you for being here and I am grateful (maybe) I have this marketplace.. or not.. because it's still junky and someone else could maybe do a better job..

Please can we change this.. I just want to list my item.. and give it a price.. This is something eBay has successfully managed to do for 20 years.. but apparently not anymore..

THE simplest concept when selling something.. choosing my own price.. BUT .. eBay can't manage that can they..

Good flipping Lord.. please .. seriously.. just someone sort this out
