I still cannot change back to classic view on ebay UK.
Can you change back to classic view?
I find the new view of the pages hard to navigate and I am thinking of leaving ebay for good if I cannot change back.
Can anyone help me change back to classic view on ebay UK.
Thank you.

I've just been on a loooong chat with support and they said that ""And kindly note that in seller hub, you can go to listing menu and click on All selling page then you will get MOSTLY same lay out as classic view page", so that is to say that you can customise the layout and default options to work for you in the future.
It's a PITA, not going to lie, but it might be worth all the hassle doing it up front once, rather than each time for a listing.
Grab a coffee (or a strong beverage!) and get into the settings. We're all being forced to the new view - For now though, support changed me back to the classic view because I stood fast and told them I'm not interested! (I optionally switched to the new view).
Good luck, you'll need it! 😅

Did you change it, or did eBay force it? If you changed it, contact support. They just changed me back about 20 minutes ago because I thought "Oh, I'll try it out" and instantly regretted it! lol

Forced on me . Do you really think I would want this rubbish? The old one was brilliant, could describe my item down to the nenth degree. NOw? Every sentence runs together , site must have been put together by dyslex idiot , no offence to dyslex folks.
Cannot describe properly , photos minimum amount of changes. Try and move the photo round? You get dizzy the way it spins. Utter rubbish as far as I can tell. They tell you what they think it should cost, tell you what they think postage should be . Big Brother got nothing on this site now.
Your face must fit then , thats all I can say.

Oh no, I didn't think you'd opt-in to it, but I acidentially clicked the "take me to the new view" button which was cleaverly discuised as a 'Seller Hub', and was stuck on it.
Anyway, I only tried to help, I get that it's frustrating, not sure there's much more I can say on the matter other than good luck!

I contacted chat about this but they have categorically stated it is not possible to change back, they referenced a link but it does not seem to work anymore 😞

Maybe it's me, but it seems completely crazy (and counter-productive in terms of good business practice where, i'd imagine, the focus would be on keeping users/customers happy) that ebay have gotten-rid of 'classic view' (which people liked), and retained those MASSIVELY irritating (and unrequested) unsolicited notifications that drop-down from that bell icon in the top right of the screen (which people don't like). What are ebay thinking? Do they just want to alienate as many users as they possibly can. I just hope that these decisions are being made because there's some anti-corporate person wanting to destroy ebay's monopoly in charge of such decisions, rather than ebay actually thinking any of these things are a good idea.

I agree ebay has ruined the experience by taking away classic view, I am leaving as it is now hard to navigate - good bye ebay!

What I'm finding so off-putting is the double-whammy of the compulsory introduction of seller hub/no more classic view and the compulsory switch onto Managed Payments. Two equally awful ideas/systems. If there were just one bad idea from ebay, I might have bitten the bullet and stuck around (although, possibly not); but with both, it's just too bad. What completely perplexes me is the approach from ebay that the customer is an inconvenience to the smooth running of ebay (rather than the more conventional approach from commercial organisations that 'the customer is king/queen'). If ebay were free to use like some of the smaller 'marketplace' platforms available, then I'd be thinking "well, they're providing a service for free/a negligible amount, I can't really complain I suppose". However, when as a seller, I'm paying a far from trifling sum for the privilege of using ebay, it completely beggars belief that ebay can treat customers with such contempt by doing the opposite of what customners want. Moreover, it's the deceit from ebay that also sticks in the throat - if ebay were honest enough to say, "we are dloing these things becuase we believe it is better for our profitability, and what you 'little people' might want is inconsequatial to ebay" then, if nothing else, I could respect ebay's honesty. But for ebay to make the ebay experience less user-friendly, just as (or even more) expensive, and less convenient AND then for ebay to claim that these things are an "enchancement to the ebay seller (and buyer) experience" is just offensive. As such, it's the feeling that i'm being mugged by ebay that's so alienating and, frankly, annoying, and what's going to cause me to walk away.

I FIND THE SAME AS YOU NOT VERY GOOD
26-04-2021 11:02 PM
I rang up about it to customer support "very sorry you have been inconvienenced I'll let someone know"
Its a joke really being played on us by big business, we supposidly pay for good service and yet they drop the on us. I think we ALL should ring up and complain, then not fill in their "how did we do" form.
I dont know if its a coincedence or not, but my sales have fallen through the floor since they changed it.
Perhaps people cannot find where things are? I dont know but there has not been one who said the change is great , mostly its worse and they are thinking of leaving and going to Gumtree, NO fees see.

All ebay cares about is the MONEY, All this pi55ing around with the layout must be financially driven, personally I am sick to death with ebay telling what postal service I should use, telling what I price should be starting an auction at, Sick of accidentally listing items with 'make an offer' because ebay defaults to accept offers. Sick to death of ebay finding against sellers in any dispute regardless of evidence showing that the item has been delivered and signed for.
I'm just sick to death of ebay, what we need is another auction site, run like ebay used to be. Remember when ebay was a nice place to buy and sell? Nowadays I sell most things elsewhere, we had an ebay shop for years but packed that in due to ebays constsnt fixing of something that in the early years was not wrong.

Coming soon, I deleted it myself but it looks a lot like the missing page.
27-04-2021 10:53 AM
It's rubbish.
On the surface, yes, it looks the same but it is far from it.
For example, I had my selling items at the top, sold in the middle, ended at the bottom.
Click the saved link and all is there.
Now, with the new one, it goes directly to ready-to-post items only in the middle section.
I now have to use the drop down menu to open all sold items, and if I refresh the page it goes directly back to ready-to-post items only.
The selling items at the top only shows items being bid on but not the bidder, which the previous one did. Now I have to click each item to see who it is. I need this function because sometimes - for example - if one of my customers is bidding on 5 items, but one of the ends next week, I can simply end the last item and send an invoice for all 5 items. So that information is missing.
These are two examples of how badly created this page is.
The page itself is ugly, and eBay are utterly stupid to remove the classic view.
19 years on eBay and I have now been looking for alternatives to sell on, because this is a joke and they do not listen to their customers. Sellers must be leaving in their droves.
27-04-2021 11:05 AM
Ah! Those famous droves, as there are far too many sellers on eBay in certain areas let's hope those droves make it more profitable for those who don't drove.
27-04-2021 11:19 AM
Firstly its a bit late. Secondly who has asked for this monstrocity ? I do not know anyone who has asked for this to be foisted on us. Who the hell have they been listening to? Themselves perhaps? Everyone who has posted has said cahnge it back or give us the option of doing so ourselves. Will it happen ? I think not. Talk about turning a deaf ear, they have cut theirs off !

You capture perfectly the dynamic of the relationship between ebay and its customers; ebay appear to have no interest in what its customers want. And, on this point, I think ebay are of the mistaken opinion that 'buyers are buying items off ebay' - they're not, 'buyers are buying items off sellers who use ebay as the conduit for a transaction' - and this difference is more than semantic as, should sellers depart ebay's, there would be no buyers. The sellers are ebay's only meaningful customers, as it only the sellers who pay ebay for a service. Yet, in ebay's mindset, their drive/idea to keep buyers happy and alienate sellers is, to my mind, a remarkably poor business decision. Equally, the idea from other posters that a 'cull' of sellers will be better for those that remain is, I suspect, fundamentally flawed; if we were all variations of the 'same shop' and selling the same items and the market was, consequently, over-supplied, then, of course, it would be better for those that remain should lots of sellers leave. However, when plenty of us sell items that are difficult to source elsewhere, or constitute 'impulse' or non-essential purchases, then when the seller leaves, the [potential] customer doesn't go somewhere else, instead he/she ceases to exist as a buyer for the items [no longer] being offered.
For myself, I've been on ebay since october 2003 (on a difference account to the one i'm posting on now) and have, in total, just shy of 3,000 feedbacks (about two thirds are as a seller, about a third as a buyer). In that time, i've never had a negative feedback (i had one neutral once, due to a postal delay in the Royal Mail), yet (disappointing) ebay believes that my opinions and what, as a customer of ebay, i want from ebay are of no concern to it. Whilst I'm not delusional enough to think that my no longer using ebay (as either a buyer or a seller) will make any difference to them, I've had enough of ebay acting as if i'm sort of shyster who can be treated with contempt by them. As an ebay customer, I would like ebay to show a little respect/appreciation; instead, on the basis of ebay's approach, I'm just there to be milked for everything i can by them. Well, they can flip off.

Hi Feel exactly the same ... looked everwhere to switch back but can`t as every thing has changed and like you said very hard to navigate even when relisting you have to do each item one at a time as relist all dosent work ... huff !

Is it possible to operate a UK account via ebay.com? As you can reinstate classic view on that site (at the moment)

I think (could be wrong) but Gumtree are part of the ebay group, same as paypal was. If they are I doubt it won't be too long before Gumtree start adding fee's to sell.

ATTENTION ALL......
It seems no one is happy about this situation, but ebay don't care because they have cornered the market and have no regard for or respect about their customers wishes.
Today I complained to ebay and encourage you to do the same.
It is not often that I see a firm shoot itself in the foot. What a poor example ebay have set.
