payouts are on hold with no reasons.....

Received  a email an hour ago:

Your payouts are on hold. To release your funds and avoid further selling restrictions, take action by 25 Dec, 2024.

Resolve all open issues:

Resolve any outstanding fees or seller costs. You can make a one-time payment to bring your account up to date.

Resolve any outstanding buyer requests and disputes.

Upload tracking information for your recently sold items.

Once we’ve confirmed that all your open issues are resolved, your selling privileges will be restored. Going forward, we’ll make your funds available for payout within 48 hours after we’ve confirmed delivery of the item.

Have 0 return issue and 0 unpaid cost , but the undispatch orders are only the order from Friday night till today. Post office only open  Mon- Fri and dispatch every single orders the next morning after customers order in working days. Just thinking it so strange I never sending out expire the processing time frame.

Have anyone met that before? And the solution?

Thank you every reply in advance and I hope everyone have a wonderful Xmas.

Re: payouts are on hold with no reasons.....

It's because you have multiple new items but you are registered as a private seller.

Re: payouts are on hold with no reasons.....

Hello Roger,

Thanks  for your reply, so what should I do to release my payment?

I checked your post link and understand and I will pay attention to this because I am a new ebay user and I will register a business account after Xmas, but in my current account what should I do to release my payment?

Re: payouts are on hold with no reasons.....

Register as a business and provide all the tracking information eBay require

You may be about to get your account suspended as I have seen lots of other sellers who got this same message have their accounts closed by ebay shortly afterwards as eBay weren't "happy with their business model"

The "Disney" and "Marvel" style items would also attract eBays interest if they are not licensed products

Re: payouts are on hold with no reasons.....

Thanks for your message

I will upload all tracking after posted tomorrow at post office because Royal Mail won't accept package in weekend, all un-dispatched orders are the orders during weekend.

I just don't understand why this happen because I set up processing time is 2 working days and I already posted out all orders on Mon- Fri.

I will try to contact customer service team to see how is gonna solve this and register business after Xmas.

Thank you so much for your help and bless you have a wonderful Xmas.

Kind Regards

Jason

Re: payouts are on hold with no reasons.....

It has probably happened because you are a new private seller and appear to have been selling only 'Brand New' items.  The ebay system has therefore flagged you up as probably buying in new items to sell - ie. a business seller, because on the whole, private sellers mainly sell second hand.

You will need to change your account to 'Business' sooner rather than later because ebay often don't leave it long before closing the account.

You can't leave upgrading to a business account until after Christmas,  it may already be too late.

Are you uploading all of your tracking numbers to eBay on day you post items? If not, upload all the ones you have straight away, including for orders in the last couple of months.

A new private seller with lots of brand new items is considered a red flag for fraud by eBay, they will want evidence items are actually being delivered: eBay may require you to provide evidence of all the previous tracking numbers including for example proof of postage and/or screenshots of the Royal Mail tracking page to show delivery. It seems that eBay's fraud team require this evidence from you and won't just look at your eBay order history page.

If you have already identified that you need to register for a business account then do it straight away.

Now this has happened I would be less concerned about a short delay to funds being released and more concerned about whether eBay will close your account, and put a 12-month hold on all funds - remember that under UK trading law, businesses illegally selling under a private account have to give their buyer better return rights (as a punishment) than a legally registered business. eBay may take the view that this scenario likely applies to you, so as I understand it your buyers effectively have a 12-month window to request a return for any reason, and to refuse such a return you would have to be able to prove in court that the item never developed a fault (nearly impossible to prove a negative). As eBay was the payment processor they could be held liable for this, so to mitigate the risk to eBay they might hold on to your funds for 6 or 12 months.

Re: payouts are on hold with no reasons.....

With the dispatching (if that's part of the problem), make sure your working days are set for Monday-Friday in your postage preferences. Based on others' comments though, it's just the Business / private seller thing.

Re: payouts are on hold with no reasons.....

The only thing you havnt done here is the 3rd so be sure to add tracking asap. I dont personally think its the business thing causing the current issue, not yet anyway, more likely you sold a high value/high risk item or several items without shipping/adding tracking but be careful selling lots of new items.

So yeah agreed with the above despatching is probably the issue.

If you’re at home through the day try click and collect which I do
