Hi guys, I recently heard something about eBay's new rules about tax for private sellers.
Unfortunately I don't remember where I heard or read about it, cuz it was a few days ago, but it was saying that eBay planning or already have made no tax for private sellers ?
But not sure if that was legit info so I came here to ask directly if anyone heard anything like that as well.
Thanks

Are you confusing "tax" with "fees" ?
There are no longer any fees for private sellers.

Do you mean fees? Ebay no longer charge listing or FVFs for private sellers.
Fees for private sellers | eBay
If you mean income tax to HMRC, private sellers selling off their own unwanted items don't need to pay tax, unless they sell high value items, when Capital Gains Tax will apply (I think it's around £3000 now?)
Sellers buying or making items to sell need to be registered as a business on ebay, and declaring their income to HMRC.
