Either they meant they were waiting for the sale money to hit their account then post out, (so a 14 days wait)

or getting money from somewhere else into their bank so they could post...(maybe a few days wait)

Rightly or wrongly i read it as......they were changing from Auction to BIN to enable them to get the postage fees from somewhere before it sells .     Maybe they are hoping the item does not sell immediately because even on BIN if it sells within hours they will still be expected to post before actually receiving payment.   Maybe they are hoping on BIN it wont sell for a week or so???

Personally i think the best option in future maybe for any seller.....to not offer an item for sale until they have the postage funds in hand.

But if it's on auction you'd *know* when it ended and you'd have to post it (if it sold) so you'd get some postage money ready.

If it's on BIN it could sell in 10 mins time, so how are they hoping that gives them more time to get money in?

Maybe they will do what the other selling site does and the buyer chooses and pays for the label their end.  

Then in your settings you can choose your courier preferences.  The buyer selects from your list.

Ah yes, 'Simple Delivery '  It won't work for me personally,  but it may help those extremely skint private sellers who have difficulty getting the postage money together *before* getting the money from the sale..

Ebay has lost the plot!...I don't send every item tracked, Now the payments is on hold till 20th february how will I know if the buyer recieved the item? unless they leave feedback or let ebay know the item arrived safe.

The 'Simple Delivery'  I have seen on here, you don't have a choice which courier you can use.  ebay chooses it for you, is that not the case? I maybe wrong.

You do have a choice on the other selling site.

Someone else mentioned 20th February, they converted to a business so technically they should have funds available immediately.

Worth keeping an eye on to see exact date the fund become available.

If you send untracked then you wont know if and when your buyer receives the item.

I do not think feedback will come into consideration because buyers have been known to leave feedback for the wrong seller by mistake.

Send untracked and its 2 weeks before you will receive your funds.

I wouldn’t send anything untracked as you are just accepting it will be a minimum of 2 weeks before you receive payment.

Charge the buyer for tracked delivery, I simply don’t believe eBay is the play to sell items on the cheap anymore. 

I genuinely believe we will see buyers and sellers leaving eBay en masse. 

I’ve enjoyed my time using eBay but I simply do not have the appetite to deal with the inevitable increase in scamming attempts, lack of tracked delivery confirmation from the courier, broken api interaction between eBay and couriers and so on.

getting rid of my “junk” should be simple and stress free… concepts alien to eBay

Apparently it will, but only for sales under £10.00

(money will be released after 2 days if the buyer leaves positive feedback)

I can't remember on which of the enormo-threads that cropped up on, but I've seen it here somehwere a couple of days ago!

A bit of a suprise, as ebay have never considered feedback as a 'proof of delivery' before.... perhaps they're under the impression that, should the occasional 'feedback left by mistake' happen on the same sale as a non-delivery, a sale of less then a tenner is OK to take the loss!

Waiting for my wages to go in the bank on the 20th as I won't have enough cleared funds until then, I had 10 auction listings ending in a few days so there would have been a delay in me sending them IF they sold.

28 days auctions give me some time to get some money in the bank, id rather do that than take the listings down completely.

The money they were holding yesterday was all in my account to take out if i wanted last night by midnight. It's an absolute mess. Are they still holding other people's money? I've checked a private seller's electrical item nothing has been done there, I can't do international on Ebay labels anyway it asks for 2 numbers that i don't even know what they are so i bought off RM as usual. Have taken most of my stuff off and still doing it and putting in sets.

The only good thing about all this is that it's forced me to get rid of the masses of listings that have built up over the years. I did do time away and closed down but when the BPP was cancelled i opened again- for now- on the 10th i close again

It looks like nothing has changed for existing seller accounts but for new accounts all the new procedures are in place?

Was it the IOSS numbers? 

If you send them without this your parcels will be returned or your buyers will be charged import fees AGAIN even though they paid them at checkout

You must include the numbers correctly on the labels or your account will suffer from unhappy buyers.

International eu, ebay do this automatically to via ebay purchased labels.
I send Internationally via click and drop and all info is uploaded there
too took me a while to figure it out.
