The dreaded email we all worry about.
Not entirely sure what i'm meant to have done. 99.8% top seller. All fees paid, all tax documents correct, all contact info correct etc.
The only thing I think it might be is someone who didn't receive her orders asked me to email her and put her email in the private messages. Obviously I didn't but other than that I've no idea. Hopefully they lift it but its worrying that this happens out the blue with 0 reason.

It might just be nothing. Ive had them occasionally over the years and twice they wanted photo ID though not sure why on the second as they already had it but I just resent it. Just verifying who I am.

Just to confirm, this wouldn't be related to your feedback score or potential issues that you could've faced or not with any transactions, this is simply a review that all accounts have to go through at some stage. Once the review is concluded, the hold will be removed, and if we need anything else, we would let you know, but again, this is a normal process all account have to go through at some stage. In the meantime, you can continue to use your eBay account as usual.

This really is unnecessarily cruel. Suspending my payouts in the xmas runup while charging my card for all fees and postage. No updates about when ill be able to withdraw again. Absolutely horrendous the way sellers get treated on here tbh. Absolutely hammering my offsite funds.

Been told review be completed today and nothing to worry about, all good. I mean...if the cs knows that.....why are my funds still blocked. This site is nuts.

Just for the record, ebay removed the hold and completed the review at end of the 5th day. Have to say though, they didn't message me to tell me. They were quick to tell me my payouts were limited. No comms and no information on why i had that restriction. I don't think "just for security" is a good enough answer. It's like every so often a casino refusing to pay their regulars, just incase they've become shifty.
It sours the already tense relationship between ebay and sellers.
Anyway, i see these posts all the time and never the outcome so i felt i needed to at least confirm they did release my funds. Thanks to Marco for at least trying to drop the tension.
