VAT on postage?

Hello,

Is it normal for VAT to be charged on non- SD listings?

I thought it was only for SD, because Ebay are providing a service?

(Changed a listing to Advanced 2nd Class RM, and VAT applies!)

There shouldn't be any VAT on Royal Mail 2nd Class as that's not a VATable service and the postage isn't being sold by eBay. 

There will be VAT included in the Buyer Protection Fee.
