Most sellers of vintage items now use Google Lens and any similar services which are available to identify items and learn about them. A trick which worked for me when my picture search on a blue vase was not producing anything was to change the picture to black and white using Photos editing tools (other editing tools are available) and, bingo!, up popped a Villeroy & Boch planter in a different colour. I thus learned the maker. They made planters in the same style in different colours and sizes.
