One side of coin - bought two battery tooth brush from a seller at 3pm Saturday. They were 30p cheaper than Amazon and supermarkets and arrived …wait for it …Sunday (today) at 1.30pm 😳
Left very positive feedback.
Otherside of coin - bought DVD of Superman film 2025 version and as pictured on eBay by seller.
Took 9 days to arrive - that’s ok no rush. A few hours after I noticed the cover is similar to one in eBay listing but the original Superman film on DVD that starred Christopher Reeves. The cover picture is similar but not a match for eBay listing I purchased and back picture completely different.
This on is in a sealed plastic wrapper like one listed is also.
Contacted seller - No reply.
Raised a return via eBay and no reply after 2 days. I fully expect it to run until the point where eBay get involved in refund due to lack of response.
sigh!

The cover on the dvd maybe different, but does the dvd work perfectly or not?
Covers for dvd's and books do change.

DVD in a sealed pack and it’s the original film.
Back cover of DVD has acting credits for original film and screen shots from original film.
This is the old superman film from the err 70’s?
I could break sealed pack open and look at DVD, but prefer to return it as I got it.
Also different from picture of front cover and rear that is in the listing and what I purchased aka the 2025 version of the film.

You've done the right thing if you suspect this is not an original dvd , back it then goes for a refund.
I'm just explaining I ( mega film lover me ! 🤗 ) Having many dvd's movies re made on dvd from the 40's onwards, and their covers change regularly from when bought decades ago, to buying the same dvd today.
As said, if you're not happy thankfully you are guaranteed a full refund claiming within the 30 day timeframe.

It’s a bit like me taking photos of a 2025 calendar with a Cat on the front and pictures of cats on the back and listening to it on eBay.
You buy it.
I then post you a 1978 calendar with a similar cat picture on front but a different set of cats for each month on back.
Superman on front cover looks similar on the 1970’s version of film and the 2025 version. Just a different actors face. The outfit is obviously the same 😀

Was it the seller's own picture , or (the wrong) one automatically inserted by ebay?
I gave up selling on ebay ages ago, but have noticed a lot of items have generic ebay pictures instead of actual pictures from the seller. If ebay are using their usual useless AI systems to pick the picture, your experience might be "the new normal"...

If the DVD is in a sealed pack but you suspect it's a copy of the original 1970s film rather than the 2025 version then you will need to open the pack to check. That would not stop you from opening a NAD return case.
As for not breaking the seal and returning the DVD unopened, that would just allow the seller to sell the same DVD to another unsuspecting buyer. If the DVD seal was broken then the seller couldn't do that (unless they can reseal the DVD, that is).
Some sellers need to be taught a lesson.

The above make it "not as described". You should receive exactly what is shown on the listing.
