Ebay was always heavily weighted in favour of the Buyers, but this new mad rule thats coming in next month about having to wait two days after delivery is confirmed to get paid is simply beyond the pale.

And sometimes delivery conformation never comes, apparently in that situation we have to wait 14 days to get our money.  

This is disgusting and completely nuts. A self-destructive move from Ebay.

What is worse is that YouLend have clauses in their contracts that basically means they can fleece the customer for what they like.

I have the contract they sent me and their reply via email to a rebuttal I made to said contract.

Obviously I refused their offer.

Most private sellers are selling low value items & fulfill all their
selling obligations, have 100% feedback and long history of above standard
ratings, like myself. eBay know who their above standard sellers are &
should honour them with the same leniency as buisness sellers & the high
level of buisness sellers with below standard performance, poor feedback
should have restrictions until their standards improve.

Buisness sellers create the greatest risk with high volume sales. Anyone
can set up a buisness platform with the intention of scamming buyers and
lets be honest eBay is full of them and doesn't care if a buyer loses money
or they would have implemented safeguarding years ago.

Sellers with sole intention of stealing will always find a way to cheat the
system. Every buisness has to absorb the risk of fraud.

Let's look at the buyers as they are actually eBay's sellers greatest
threat to sellers with false claims. Many buyers turn to eBay as they know
they can get goods for free & target private sellers. Does eBay stop them
buying? No! Why? Because they need their money.

EBay doesn't want to clean up itself & has found a great way to increase
revenue without putting it's hand in its pocket.

A couple of weeks into this and it still hacks me off having to wait up to 2 totally unnecessary weeks for payment.

Its not a cashflow thing just this feeling I am not trusted or appreciated. Same with the protection fee on my listings. It's all so constantly negative.

If they make simple delivery mandatory then I might be done with this site.

After being on ebay for a couple of decades I am going to have to find a hobby that is more satisfying than ebay.

And even if proven innocent we are still stuck with these payment holds and delays as PRIVATE sellers.

Whilst the big business sellers who drop ship 100's of items from Amazon they DON'T HAVE and who have lots of negative feedback are free to carry on running a muck on eBay with prompt payments !

This horrid money after delivery rule should be made compulsory for all CHINESE BASED SELLERS WHO LIE TO BUYERS SAYING "ITEM LOCATED IN UK" OR "FAST UK DELIVERY" WHEN THEY CHEAT AND SEND THE ITEM DIRECTLY FROM CHINA WITH A LONG DELAY !

Totally agree. It is outrageous that eBay is not giving us the postal fees that the buyer has sent us until after delivery is complete, which means we - the sellers - are having to pay postage and packing from our own funds. Meanwhile our money remains in eBay bank accounts earning enormous interest .... for eBay.  Where's the loyalty. I've been with eBay 20 years - I  deserve better treatment than this. Perhaps it is time to join the mass exodus.

If we don't understand or are perplexed by recent changes, that is the fault of eBay who have not clearly explained or consulted with us. We are their life-blood. It would be  nice to be asked.

They are not paying in 2 days that is not true. For my parcels that have clearly been delivered, as the tracking worked and the buyer left feedback these are taking over 4 days and one 5 days. For a parcel hand delivered and the buyer has left me feedback. I have been told that the feedback from ebay on the phone is meaningless and that does not prove delivery. I dont think I will be paid, as the first guy from Ebay told me I had to wait 40 days the 2nd told me would be 30 days. 

I am now having to tell buyers to leave me feedback because I am not getting paid, even if you have the goods. 

No way is it two days after delivery for payment, I do not know where this information is coming from but its not true, and maybe everyone selling needs to know, it appears that they are holding our money and you will be lucky to get the funds paid back at this rate. So nobody should put out its two days its not correct. 

For a parcel not scanned by the signed for service Royal Mail I dont know if I will ever be paid, as the tracking still has not updated as it was not scanned.  Feedback left Ebay will not recognise this as evidence. 

currently at the moment the Royal Mail tracking system has been down since yesterday, that says it all.

A couple of days ago I was told by ebay CS the following:

1. If the item is not tracked payment will be in 14 days (I don't know if that is working days or not).

2. The clearance via feedback policy will not be implemented until the end of February.

So ebay have announced changes but are not implementing them all at the same time....

so EVERYONE who sends untracked mail is going to wait a fortnight to get their funds at present.

Regarding tracked mail, I would guess that if ebay CS get inundated with phonecalls about confirmed

receipt (i.e. carrier acknowledgement of delivery, not buyer) and possibly repetitive phonecalls then maybe they will change the procedures!

As a private sellers you have to be prepared to put money upfront it's not
rocket science. I don't agree with the holds on funds timescales but we
have to survive it. Sellers need to hang in to some earnings to cover
future sales. If sellers can afford a postage label they really shouldn't
be selling .

Thanks that not true, I  have spoken on the phone one in Germany told me 40 days and the other said they were in the UK, which I dont believe said 30 days.  Mine were tracking if the parcel is not scanned, but deliver has happened, but ebay dont believe this told 30 days no mention of 14 days but mine are always tracked with a tracking number. 

One delivered took 4 days for payment and the other parcel delivered the same day I waited for 5 days on those the tracking worked. Its the ones that are not scanned by Royal Mail means wont pay you and never told me it was 14 days I was told 30 days. The staff giving out this information have no idea, and they sound like robots speaking to them. I have named these and put in a complaint, which they closed down without a resolutions, says it all.

For one hand delivered I may never get paid for as feedback is meaningless does not prove delivery. All what I was told. 

One sent on the 8th February has been delivered but never scanned no currently paying me for 30 days. As its not been delivered 

I have not idea putting up with non scanned parcels but the buyer has it is not evidence in Ebays eyes. Therefore keeping our money is not ethical.  The buyer has the goods but no Feedback is proof.

Where are these 30 or 40 days coming from ?.... I thought that the max time for held payment under the new rules was 48 hours for a confirmed delivery and maximum of 14 days for an unconfirmed delivery ??

....providing the buyer doesn't open any cases or request a return.

The fact that I have paid more than I charged the buyers to post out, not a thank you not a word. Some are so rude they will not acknowledge you. 

Therefore if you cannot get a response form the buyer they have the parcel, and like me paid more that they paid, cannot you just be nice to acknowledge this. Especially when the tracking has never updated from the day it was posted.  Now its a disaster situation, they have the parcel, you dont have your funds and then they decide they dont want it, you are left with nothing.

This information has come from ebay customers services. I called them up the first guy in Germany told me 40 days, he then put the phone down on me. I called back the women said she was in the UK, but I dont think so, and said it was 30 days for payment. I was never told 14 days by either of them on the phone. I think the people answering the phone are clueless.

I have an arranged overdraft which i have not even come close to using (just in case), it costs me nothing to have it but i believe it is quite a highish interest rate if i did, used to be a straight £1 a day but obviously that was not bringing in enough.

I have had an account for 21 years, therefore these customer service people I spoke to on the phone are totally clueless. Yes its a farce, keeping our money especially when the tracked service is not scanned and the feedback has been left. thats not proof according to them on the phone at ebay.
