Ebay was always heavily weighted in favour of the Buyers, but this new mad rule thats coming in next month about having to wait two days after delivery is confirmed to get paid is simply beyond the pale.
And sometimes delivery conformation never comes, apparently in that situation we have to wait 14 days to get our money.
This is disgusting and completely nuts. A self-destructive move from Ebay.

I can't help. but I do recall reading that if there is no tracking number included, payment is 14 days after the item is stated to have been sent. I can't say if that is 14 working days or 14 calendar days. It's also slightly different if the value is less than £10, but since I haven't sold anything for less than £10 in a very long time I didn't pay much attention. Is the value of some of your items more than £10 and some less than £10?

The problem is that ebay automatically generates a "tracking" (postage) ID when you purchase postage through them and attaches it to the order, even though it is not tracked.
A lot of them are <£10 with a couple being £10>. Anything over £20 I send tracked.

If you look at the ones less than £10 versus those over £10 is there any difference between what it says on the payment details? (just trying to work out any pattern) I always buy via the Royal Mail website, just makes life less complicated.

No difference no. There’s no rhyme or reason to it. It just appears to be random which ones have a date and which ones just say “awaiting delivery”.

Ebay are refusing me payment. One parcel has been delivered and the Royal Mail did not scan this parcel they told me I can wait up to 30 days to get my money back as they dont believe it was posted, even that feedback has been left. I was told the feedback is meaningless I have a receipt and a photo of the post office. I delivered a parcel by hand and refuse to pay me back as they dont have a tracking number. I
This is disgusting. I have called twice to ebay and the first guy in Germany who has no idea about living here in the UK put the phone down on me.

This can be what happens, and it is totally unacceptable. I've had parcels received before but the scan didn't register or whatever, and have also had parcels myself where I received them but it didn't show online. However, there might be a solution for you, though honestly I shouldn't be helping ebay with the mess they've created, but I feel it's wrong for any seller to be negatively affected as has happened to you. First, contact the buyer and ask them to write a message back through the ebay system. The message should read that the item was received, the date it was received on and, if possible, they could include a photo of the item they've received. If they still have the packaging, a photo of the label with tracking number. That is evidence that should satisfy anyone the parcel has been received. As for taking the item round by hand, there is something in the guidelines about if the item is collected from you, so basically that should also apply to it being taken round by yourself. That said, if you again contact the buyer and do the same as before, though obviously no tracking number etc. but ask them to include the statement that the item was delivered by yourself and when. Now, because these messages are being sent via the buyers through the message system, ebay can be sure it is the buyer sending them and with the photos that the items, etc. are there with them. Honestly, I can't see how anyone can refuse that with what should be evidence enough for anyone.
Ebay invented this ridiculous situation, these are the inevitable consequences, because as we all know, Royal Mail, etc. are far from perfect and not every parcel is correctly delivered or tracked properly. That is, yet again, penalising a seller for circumstances beyond their control.

Hi thanks you are the only one on this forum that understands me. I have contacted the buyer and they have left feedback, but its Ebay they dont believe the feedback. The parcel was not scanned, is that my fault. Also the other parcel I delivered myself as I dont have a tracking number for this, but I have a picture of the person holding the parcel and a picture outside there home. also.
I have had enough I have been told have to wait for 30day for payment. its so dishonest.

Not a problem, always good to help if I can. I've another account that I've used on ebay for nearly 25 years so have basically been through most situations here. I'm guessing the 30 day deadline is to do with that being how long the buyer has to file a claim for non-delivery, etc. and ebay must be assuming if they don't do that then they must have received it. However, if you have photographic evidence, the sort of which Royal Mail use to upload to their site as proof of delivery sometimes, then basically this, plus the message should really be enough. If you don't get anywhere with the first agent when you phone them up, (after the messages, etc) request to speak to their manager, even if that means having a call back. I should add, asking the buyers to state in their messages that they are happy with the items, and have no intention of launching any sort of claim should help. None of this messing about should be your job, this situation is simply unacceptable and it is putting a whole lot of effort onto the backs of people who just want to sell a few things via ebay. It used to be ebay said they were just a platform through which buyer and seller made a legally binding contract for the sale of an item. Now they seem to think they are entitled to interfere in a way that no one else does, and all just they can make even more money. Will be around later if I can help more, hope this works out for you.

Comments and links keep coming over on simple delivery!! telling us what and how.. but where is it, ??
i cannot find this to accept it ect ect ect..bla bla bla

If you mean accept it as a contract, you already did by continuing to use the site.
If you mean the possible updates to Simple Delivery they may not all be live yet.

At the moment simple delivery is only available if you list in certain categories. I do believe that currently it is available in electronics and shortly it will be rolled out to other/all categories. Exactly when no one knows.

Delayed Payments until 48 hours after a confirmed delivery and soon to be compulsory Simple Delivery are the two worst ideas in all the history of eBay.

I'm being made to wait 15 days before I receive my payment, even though the buyers paid and left me good feedback. There's nowhere to acknowledge on the website (which it states on the website must be done, but which she knew nothing about that) she's received the item, despite confirming to me in an email she's
received it OK.
After speaking to numerous ** at ebay, I've been hung up on and told numerous diff things by all 3 **. It's v clear they have zero idea about the new system and how it's meant to work. Laterly I was told I won't get my funds for 15 days as I didn't use a tracking for sending the Lipstick which sold for well less than £15. Whh would I use tracking when the post office insurance covers up to £20? The buyer wouldn't want to pay more postage either for something of such minimal value. The system is nonsensical for seller & buyer but means that ebay profit unlawfully from with holding my payment for +15days! When my payment finally comes through I'm closing my account after @30yrs. I've already deleted all my other sales items.

No, i can't see it either. You are supposed to be able to select it in the drop down box when listing. I was told by CS it was because I have Postage policies set up. Don't know if that is true but I'm not fiddling with them to fing out.

They may make you wait 6 months to close your account till allow for charge backs. Someone else found that out a few days ago.

The BN Estee Lauder Pure Colour Blushing Creme 55 Lipstick which you charged £4.20 shipping on? A small parcel using Royal Mail tracked 48 would be £3.39, leaving 81p to cover packaging.

Do you all remember the old days, if you’re lucky enough to be old enough to have experienced them, when shops, businesses and tradespeople just offered a genuine service? Nobody wanting to rip everyone else off, or to get to the top no matter who they trampled on? People talked to each other, stopped and chatted over a garden wall. Life was black and white then, even on tv if you were lucky enough to have one. Happy days!! Progress isn’t always a positive experience as eBay have underlined with a very broad brush stroke.

I was only born in January 1977 so I don't remember what the old days were like but I do imagine that they were much better than now in most ways !
I do remember the 1980's and the 90's very well where there was nothing that you couldn't buy and many more high street shops... and they were also great times compared to now 😞
