Sorry simple delivery issue again

Oh please help before I really lose my temper!

Been trying to list a Halloween picture which is....yes you guessed it....bigger than simple delivery allows.

I have spent hours reading theough posts and Googling the issue....varying ways of sorting it, but not one works.

Have tried listing over £800 then changing it.

Have added measurements in item specifics

Please just tell me there is a way to do this. What an utterly ridiculous system, many of Ebay changes I have made a heavy sugh but have got used to them and worked wirj them but this,  this is so stupid.

So stupid I can't belive it, surely when the Internet is overblown with the same issue someone should think right ok let's sort this out. But no. Spoken to several agents who in honesty are more clueless than me. Been promised call backs and escalations...nothing.

One even said well I should just send it and see what happens. I mean come on!

I'm just hoping someone knows what to do.

Or are we using a selling platform that restricts selling to 62cm or whatever it is

Ebay sort this out!!

I wait to see if anyone can help

😊 thank you in advance. Fingers 🤞 crossed

Re”just sending it” with SD

if it’s RM and it’s bigger than medium you cant

if it’s evri it’s possible but I can’t remember the max dimensions for them

Re: Sorry simple delivery issue again

Find a tracked postal service you would prefer to use

List as free post (something like large letter as its the cheapest)

When it sells generate the label as it will put the tracking number in ebays system

Buy your own postage and add the new tracking number to the sold item so its then in ebays system

Try and claim a refund from your unused label a few days later. If your lucky you get it back.

Final step, treat yourself to something nice from the sale 👍

Re: Sorry simple delivery issue again

Follow my workaround exactly, don't deviate from it. It is still working.   https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Seller-Central/how-do-you-list-anything-bigger-than-61cm/td-p/788244...

Re: Sorry simple delivery issue again

Thanks but I have tried this, putting 800 as the price and inputting the dimensions larger than permitted.

It does indeed give me flexible postage at 800 but the moment I change it to the money it is supposed to be it reverts.

The actual dimensions are in item specific already but that makes no difference.

Re: Sorry simple delivery issue again

Also I don't even have the large parcel option. Only small and medium!!!

Slowly pulling my hair out!

Re: Sorry simple delivery issue again

OMG, I don't know how to thank you.....

I thought I'd followed it before but I took a deep breath and did it again.

And hey presto....woohoo 👋 ☺️

Thank you so much.

What a palaver....

Ebay come on sort this **** out.

Ridiculous. I've lost 3 hours of my life and some complete stranger has sorted this for me.

Do you actually realise what we have to do to send a parcel bigger than 62 cm!!! Wow just wow!

Re: Sorry simple delivery issue again

I have never filled in optional item specifics in the past. I have always used the description for things like that, that way ai doesn't seem to pick up sizes. Sneaky😎
