Simple delivery and other default settings

I have been a happy ebay user for over 20 years but recently have almost stopped using it. The main problem is that when items are unsold and I manually relist them, ebay without telling me change the delivery to simple delivery, change postage costs, allow offers from buyers (which I had switched off), change my listings to 7 days ( They were 5 days) , turn on auto re list ( it was switched off) etc etc. I know I can create custom postage on each listing but if I have 20 items to relist, I have to measure, weigh and recalculate the postage 20 times ! I have spoken to customer services several times and they said they are aware of the problem but so far no fix has come through. So presently I have a long list of items that I cant be bothered spending hours on to re adjust settings and re list them all. Is anyone else having this problem? What do sellers with 100's of items do? I really don't understand why ebay are changing peoples adverts without notifying them. I keep wondering if its just me and Im missing something simple.

Yes we have to change or opt out of every single listing, they are using their AI stuff as default, it's the same for everyone who is a private seller. I'm off soon will be a day to celebrate

Re: Simple delivery and other default settings

Listing takes much longer these days - every change eBay has introduced over the last few years seems to require more & more fiddling about, clicking, switching/undoing things, dismissing pop-up boxes, double-checking etc, then doing it all over again for another listing!

I think a lot of private sellers are pretty fed up/fatigued with it all, & look back fondly to how things used to be. Sadly, It's either put up with it, or leave.

It's this AI. I read they are using it to save money on staff. USA site laid off 1,000 people last year. It's will never work until they can almost replicate the human brain and that's years away if ever. The banks are using it, everyone is, the worse thing that has ever been invented

Yes - it does seem to have more or less 'taken over' online. Wherever you shop, it's all the same, everyone using the same descriptions etc. Dread to think 'where it will all end'... 😱

Re: Simple delivery and other default settings

That explains a lot now re simple delivery

artificial intelligence has proven it is not intelligent at all by any stretch of the imagination

but we can have fun with it

as you say humans are far more advanced nd always will be so

similar to the stupid robot you have to ask for help

tell it your issue and they reply about something completely unrelated

all you have to do is type agent and it understands that
