My local postmaster in the Royal Mail told me some of my parcels had been overcharged for.
I had used Simple Delivery.
I'm now wondering if the way round using Simple Delivery at all is to offer free postage on all my items for sale - but in the advertised sale price include the cost of sending the item.
Then purchase the postage via the Royal Mail website - get the tracking number and give that to the buyer and add it to the item on ebay where it has shown sold?

Even with free postage you still pay for the ebay label. You need to open that to get the buyer's address and mark dispatched. Then change the tracking number and cancel the original label here:

Thank you.
Can I just clarify the following will work?
1. Item is offered for sale with free postage.
2. Once item is sold - I still need to click the purchase label button?
3. The label then appears with the buyers address details and a tracking number.
4. I purchase a label from the RM website getting another tracking number.
5. I cancel the label generated by ebay and request a refund on it?
6. This bit I'm not sure of - but I somehow add the new postage label to the item somewhere in my Orders lists?

It would work but by doing it you are deliberately circumventing a mandatory ebay process. At some point ebay are going to object to this and may well stop the refunds.
In what way were your parcels 'being overcharged for'?

I was comparing the cost ebay was charging to send to the published cost on the royal Mail website.
Thank you for your help.

On which items are eBay overcharging?
The Simple Delivery prices are currently cheaper than the published Royal Mail online prices for the Tracked 48 service, even with Evri excluded.

You continually spam other peoples threads with the same copy and paste.
Why not start your own thread and explain what happened, so others can perhaps help?
