Simple Delivery Parcel Size

Hi

I had an item listed that has had Simple Delivery on it, the dimensions are 38x118x12cm.  I'm sure I had this item as Evri, as it's a large size, but it sold and has Royal Mail postage label.

I am happy to send it via Royal Mail, but will they take it?

Simple Delivery Parcel Size

If you selected the size/courier, then: No. Royal Mail Medium Parcel max size is 61cm long x 46 x 46.

If eBay recommended this (or imported it when SD came into effect) than the courier is supposed to honour it. But Sellers have been turned away by Post Office staff who don't know this and, considering how oversized it is, I would expect that to happen here.

If I were in your shoes, I would either:

- pay to send using the correct tracked service and update the SD tracking to new tracking.

- or politely message the Buyer to ask if I can cancel and relist with the correct size/courier.

A Post Office counter will not accept anything larger than a Medium Parcel (weight or dimensions). As per eBay:

"You won’t be able to edit the size and weight of the item after it has been sold, but the courier will accept your package provided it remains within the maximum weight and dimensions of the service."

I believe the seller needs to change the size and weight guesstimated by eBay during listing (i.e. before the item has sold). From the many posts about this issue on these boards I'm guessing doing this doesn't work in practice.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.
