Sent to ARGOS and a buyer cannot pick it up

Hi I sent the item to ARGOS with eCP code (as requested by the buyer), ordered label via eBay. Now apparently they cannot collect because they have no code, and the package is missing. Royal mail shows delivered with the signature to ARGOS. It was expensive item sorry how can I give refund in that case? The buyer requests me a refund ASAP.

When was it delivered to Argos as i think buyer has to collect it within a certain timeframe,if not it gets returned to sender,possibly destroyed going on other similar posts.

If you have tracking to show delivery to the store you will not have to refund, entering that number into any case the buyer opens will close it in your favour.  Good idea to add that tracking number now if you haven't done so already,  where you marked the item as dispactched.

 

If 7 days have not passed since the buyer was notified the item is in store all is not lost , advise your buyer to contact eBay Customer Services asap and they will provide that code for them.  The store will not release the item if the buyer does not have that code.

Do not, whatever you do, refund the buyer before the item is returned to you

 

As they could take the refund and then collect

 

With click and collect, you often don't even get the buyers real address so have no redress if this happens! 

 

Failure to collect invalidates buyer protection so you shouldn't have to refund
