Sending Items Under 100 grammes

I try to post items up on eBay which weigh less than 100 grammes but I  keep getting pushed to Simple Delivery for large letters, parcels etc. Can somone advise me as a private seller how to list an item under 100 grammes without using Simple Delivery. Thanks

Keep doing what you are doing. There is a glitch with Simple Delivery where Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter isn't available as Custom Postage to Private Sellers in every category (but it should be). When I contacted CS in June, they said eBay are working on it. You might add one extra step... Report to eBay in your listing using the ? icon every time Custom Postage doesn't load correctly in your listing. I do this and have seen some categories change slowly over time. Good luck with your selling!

You need to list your items in one of the exempt categories - items listed for under £10 and weighing under 100g can be listed with custom postage but only if the category is exempt.

It may not be the one you currently use.

Use the link below then click on categories:

100g makes no difference its the size of that item that makes a difference as in under 2mm thick or fits in to a standard dl envelope,

100g of elephant or 100g of feathers.

100g is just the max weight of a letter.

Royal mail have for a long time used size and weight combined.

It used to be weight only.

SD does not follow the size/weight profile of royal mail, and that is a failing of SD.

The fact it is only available in certain categories is only going to lead to a fowled up catalogue, with items not relevant to the categories they are sold in.
