Hi community.
I have listed an item for auction, and my postage preferences clearly state I will post to UK only. However, I've received a bid from Zambia.
How has eBay let this happen? I've now added the bidder to my blocked list and added all African countries to the Exclude postage location, but the bid still remains.
Is there a way to stop this? I've had trouble with overseas bidders in the past so set my postage preferences to UK only .
I am not a business seller.

Your buyer almost certainly would have used a UK based freight forwarding company, which is actually better for you than sending to a UK buyer as there is less buyer protection.
If you don't want overseas buyers you need to do more than just specify UK postage only, you also need to block bids from people whose accounts are not registered to a UK address.

Thanks. Over the years I've had nothing but trouble from overseas sellers, so I'll ensure I make better use of the "exclude postage location" options.

Good Evening
Don't cut off your nose to spite your face ie if it is a case of what the wise Papso has said ie a freight forwarding company then you can't really go wrong.
I have sold numerous items to overseas buyers who have used a UK base freight forwarding company and the sales have all gone well and without any problems. All you need do is to send to the specified UK address and they will send the item on to your buyer. Money in the bank.
