Sellers will receive their money 2 days AFTER the item has been delivered, what on earth !!

Not at all in agreement with this.

Talk about being controlling, what is wrong with the way it is now then.

This not exactly news as there are many many threads on this exact subject.

But similar to vinted seller has to wait for the delivery i suspect the 2 days is the something to do with bank processing time,

But you may have to wait as long as 28 days if there is a problem

Hi there moldosgifts, it is news to me, I hadn't read or heard about it before today.

Sometimes Royal Mail do not verify that an item has been delivered, so, this isn't good news at all or will have to send everything with Tracking which will cost the buyer more hence less sales.

If you read all about how it will work, you will see that they will release the funds for untracked items, or items where tracking doesn't show delivered, 14 days after the sale.

You do not have to send tracked to get paid.

By tracked I mean any postage with delivery confirmation.

Other changes on eBay concern me a lot more than witholding payments for a few days.

The 48 hours hold until after " considered successful delivery" is to give time for the buyer to " open a case" should there be a need, which will result on your funds being held for longer...

If no further hold ( tracked items) then the " pending funds" will be available for you to "withdraw" to your bank account.

the fastest i can think of is royal mail tracked 24 and put up the postage accordingly unless you are willing to wait 3 days for evri 

i sent a rotovator reluctantly by RM tracked 24 for £9.06 i dont really like using them after issues with them

but it arrived safely the next day with feedback left by the buyer.

maybe this is the way to go now although i dont like it we may just have to bite the weenie grin and bear it.

if i stay im in the wait and see camp.

Two issues here, one is for items with a high postage/shipping cost, and second, who monitors delivery if it is not a tracked service?

And as it says on the label printing page on eBay right now "Please be aware that Royal Mail is experiencing tracking issues at the moment. We apologize for any inconvenience and if affected, ask that you try again later."

I sold an item 2 weeks ago, sent tracked but tracking didn't scan last stage so although it was delivered & received by buyer & he left feedback Iv still not received my payment! Why can't buyer just press item received & happy then release the money!!

This new rule will put off sellers on eBay.😞

I am awaiting payment for exactly the same reason. I got FB the next day but Ebay CS say I still have to wait 14 days if delivery isn't showing.

Because buyers say they’ve received something they haven’t. How stupid is the system?

on vinted if buyer clicks all is ok funds are released tracking delivery confirmation or not

There is no 'item received and happy' button for them to press on ebay.  ☹️

( I have heard that there *is* one on the vinted site, so people who have used vinted are sort of expecting one here as well..)

Even if they leave pos. feedback, that's not taken as proof of delivery : because that occasionally happens by mistake, believe it or not!

(the pos feedback thing will be changed at the end of Feb; payment will be released after 2 days if + feedback is left.... BUT only for sales of under a tenner)

It really is ridiculous! Been on eBay for 12 years and one of the best things was being paid almost instantly so that the funds are available to use for what I sell. 

Now waiting 2 days after delivery is a joke, eBay have shown a lot that they are controlling. Shame really

And it annoys me that it is 2 calender days not 2 days so if your item is delivered  and is proved by Royal mail tracking etc on say 25th at 6pm you don't get payment until 28th .Before this crazy system came in ,if your buyer paid you on a monday for example you got paid soon after midnight so you got your money early tues ,so this new system is awful .

Totally agree. I use ebay to sell items a lot less as they have turned greedy basically. The new rules are for their own self interest not their customer's. Controlling is an understatement.

Another thing I have noticed is although you don't pay fees for selling
now, you have to wait ages to get paid, you pay postage out of your own
money & now sellers are charged buyer protection which is just under £2
each time you sell.
I recently waited 14 days for my money as post office delivered item but
didn't scan. It still says dispatched.

I've had a Royal Mail special delivery package not scanned as delivered. Having to wait 14 days even though I've received feedback showing parcel delivered. When I contact Royal Mail customer service their advice was to "pretend" it hadn't been delivered and make a compensation claim for "Lost" Package"

They really didn't think it through though I mean ok but what if....you pay extra for delivery in my case upgraded to 24 hours so I could receive my money faster as I needed it. Buyer wasn't home. Item returned to depot. Buyer rescheduled delivery for a later date. Item is now showing a red exclamation mark in a circle. So now I have to wait extra time to receive my money. This is not fair in the slightest.
