Seller Defect - Transactions you cancelled for being out of stock ?

Buyer raised an INR as they claimed non delivery. RM delivery confirmation says "An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item" & as it has been over 10days I refunded to close the INR.

I noticed that the buyer had purchased 2x items which I had combined in the same package, so I also refunded the 2nd item.

Can anybody please explain to me how & why I now have a seller defect on my account for cancelling this 2nd item with the reason of "cancelled for being out of stock" ???

There are other threads on this topic.

Marco has confirmed that if you refund for any reason other than 'Buyer and seller agreed to cancel the transaction' you will get an Out of Stock defect - irrespective of the reason you selected from the drop down list.

The first of my two defects for being a 'good guy' like you has just expired.  The second is still on my account.

Surely you only refunded the shipping costs for the second item, and not the full item cost?

If that is the case, you should not have received a defect.
