SELLER BEWARE ?...

What is the most annoying thing about parcel deliveries ?....Until you get a 2 hour delivery window ,(if you even get that), you will be told the delivery could be anytime between 7am and 10pm or 6am and 9pm or similar lengthy time period.

Recently had a Buyer haggling on the price for a item with a £5 BIN price. I finally agreed to accept £3.50 and the postage cost was £2.70.

I posted next day on the 21st June and 3 days later I get the message that the parcel could not be delivered.

Turned out the buyer had used an address for a  commercial/ retail premises that had restricted access and opening hours and apparently no neighbouring premises that the parcel could be left at.

How was this my fault ?.

Buyer had the opportunity to rearrange delivery but instead tracking now shows that the parcel delivery had been attempted 3 times but was eventually refused .

Again,How is that my fault ?.

I can see no way of reporting this specific issue so I am now going to lose £2.70 through no fault of my own.

SELLER BEWARE ?...

When you post with a Tracked service, attempted deliveries count as deliveries and eBay will side with you. As you say, there is nothing you can do about this situation. It is the buyer's responsibility.
