Trying to list a hockey stick. About 90cm long and probably just over 1kg once packaged.
Easy to post and should be quite cheap (around £2.70 or £3.30) if I was doing it myself.
But I have to list it as a bulky parcel under Simple Delivery and ebay says the Simple Delivery starting price is £12.97!!! Can't choose a custom postage option and can't add dimensions or weight to refine the price. Also, I have to include DHL as a carrier, which means that I'd have to arrange o collection which isn't ideal for me.
It's a £8 item, so can't sell at that postage price. This is rubbish from ebay. I noticed that other sellers have lower postage prices-how are they able to do that, without under declaring the size? Has the custom option just been removed?

There are workarounds on these boards so that you can engage Custom Postage instead. These include:
- pricing items £20 and under
- marking items overweight
- marking items oversize

I tried to do these, but it is already under £10 and I don't have the option of marking it overweight and oversize. It only goes up to 'Bulky Parcel'. Is it hidden somewhere? I remember seeing it in the past.

I am having the exact same problem, I have a picture frame which is just over the size limit , it weights just over 1kg. Yes other people are selling with lower postage costs, I have spent hours trying to sort this out, my postage for this item is nearly as much as the item itself. What chance do we have of selling these items. This is so so frustrating.

Strangely enough I managed to do a lower postage cost for one of the frames which is big in dimensions.
