Red Banner Saying “Open Issues” But I Have No Issues

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here can help or has experienced the same problem.

Recently, my eBay account was reinstated after a restriction. Since then, I’ve noticed a red banner under my payment section saying there are open issues to resolve. However, when I click “View Messages” or try to follow any of the links, there’s nothing there—no open requests, no messages, nothing that needs action.

I contacted eBay Customer Service, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to resolve the issue or provide any clear explanation.

Has anyone had this issue before? Is it a glitch after reinstatement? It’s frustrating because everything else seems fine, but this banner is confusing and makes me think there’s still a problem.

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hi diegolaam, thanks for your post.

 

There is a technical issue affecting this, but I couldn't confirm if this is part of the technical issue or if your account genuinely needs attention. The best thing to do is contacting our customer service team, if they confirm it is related to the issue they will report the issue in question for you to get it resolved, and if it is a genuine problem, they can let you know what to do to get it resolved.

Hi marco thanks for replay , i have contact ebay costumer service all the agents mentioned that my ebay account is in good standing but the red banner is still on my payment to solve open issues . i clique to view message and i don't find  nothing please any help thanks

Thanks for the update.

However, I wanted to let you know that the issue is still not resolved, even though there are no visible issues on my account. I've contacted eBay Customer Service more than 10 times regarding this matter, including 3 escalations and 2 IT tickets, but unfortunately, the problem remains unresolved.

Please let me know the next steps or if there's anything else that can be done to finally get this sorted .

Thank you for your message. However, I would like to confirm that the issue is still not resolved on my eBay account. The banner/message is still showing, and nothing has changed.

 

I have already contacted eBay customer service more than six times, and unfortunately, all I’ve received are follow-ups with no real solution. I’ve been trying to get this fixed every day, but the issue remains open without any progress.

At this point, I’m kindly requesting that this be escalated to a team that can provide a real resolution, rather than just repeated follow-ups.

 

Please take this matter seriously and let me know the next concrete steps.

As advised above, this would not longer be related to our technical issue, as that matter has been resolved. If you are still seeing that, it is possible that your account do need attention, and if that's the case you'd need to follow up this with customer services directly.

I’m reaching out because I’m experiencing an issue that seems to affect other members as well. My eBay account was recently reinstated after a restriction, but now I’m seeing a red banner saying I need to resolve open issues. However, I don’t have any active listings, no sales, and no open cases on my account.

I already contacted eBay customer service, but the case was only escalated without any clear solution or update. I’ve double-checked everything in my Seller Hub and Messages – there’s truly nothing pending.

Your account is new,  so the issue with your account could be that you have not registered fully or correctly with eBay's Managed Payments.

 

You need to provide eBay with details of a bank account and have this account verified.  The usual method here, is for eBay to send 2 micro deposits into that nominated bank account for you to receive,  and confirm to eBay.

Once this is completed,  you will be able to list items for sale,  and receive payouts from those sales.

This will show you how to register for eBay's Managed Payments.

If there is an issue with the registration contact eBay Customer Services,  who have full access to your account,  and can see where the issue lies and explain the steps you now need to take.

As advised above, this issue is no longer affecting accounts. So, if your account is still displaying a banner, your account probably do require attention. In that case, please contact customer service as we are unable to deal with restrictions/suspensions over here.
