Thank you dis-online, this is an awesome and helpful answer. I only sell in spats, as time or opportunities arise, to help me in my hobby, so am not aware of changes, until too late! However, the suicide of eBay as you put it, so accurately describes what I have been feeling and experiencing. Some of my few saved sellers have already disappeared. I am unable to sell here any more because of SD Simple Disaster. Evri, thank god, does not even operate in the Highlands beyond Inverness, nor does DHL, both of which I am forced to use. I now have explored FB marketplace and have been really surprised and happy with it, generating old eBay days of friendliness and communication, and far cheaper sales helping to shuffle things to facilitate my hobby. Is eBay trying to compete with Amazon, is that where it is heading? I also use Bricklink now, and have seen that community grow, but that too is hampered by Lego's own interference. Are there any other platforms you could point me towards which are like the old eBay which I used love and appreciate?
I also cannot cope with the eBay 'here to waste your time and never answer your question' AI help. Are there any humans left at eBay?
Any thoughts on these matters appreciated.

I do have in my mind the lowest prices compared to others and some promoted ,free postage but the sales are completely stalled whatever i do promote or not promote just does not make sense if the retail price lets say for sports bra is 35£ and I am selling 5.00 with free postage where is the logic that its not noticed and bought as it is everyday item, nothing wrong with colours etc ,something just dont add up here...

Maybe they dislike the fact they have to pay a Buyer Protection Fee to buy from you. Maybe they dislike the fact you don’t accept returns. Both those things mean they’d rather have the security of buying the product from a business seller perhaps?

Hi retroragman , just bump ALL your prices up ........yes up & promote at 10-12% ( whatever ebay suggests ) & you will hopefully increase sales ..........worked for me............. good luck

Nice Boards ... Dude. I watched a video the other day on the Tube, where they are now doing skateboard decks in Blind bags, is nothing sacred. Lol, tbh as a gent in his 60`s and living through the skate craze of the late 70`s / 80`s I have never used the word Dude in an actual conversation. And yes, I wish I had kept my boards from then but I thrashed `em until they cried like babies. I am thinking of trying your idea, if only to appease the Corporate Ebay Gods, maybe on the higher end stuff at least.
Cheers from the Hamster who survived..

"if the retail price lets say for sports bra is 35£ and I am selling 5.00 with free postage"
If something is too cheap, people don't trust it and think there must be something wrong with it. The trick is to find the "sweet spot" where it's affordable for your target customer but not so cheap that they think it's too good to be true.
