New payment rules using GSP and RM not marking as delivered.

Hello,

I don't know if anybody else has this problem but more than half my items delivered with Global Shipping Programme don't actually update at Royal Mail's end. They never show as delivered. This never used to be a problem because I could see the second tracking number from Pitney Bowes to confirm it was actually processed by the hub.

Now I don't see to have access to the second tracking number and cannot get access to my funds until it shows as delivered to the hub, which it never will.

And ideas other than to just wait it out?

Thanks

I have exactly the same issue, with a Tracked 24 item sent 10 days ago. Sort it out, eBay.

I've gone through a few historic GSP sales and it's hit or miss as to whether they get marked as Delivered from RM. It always looks like they're stuck at the Midlands super hub, but this isn't actually the case.

That's my experience too. This new payment system means we're both penalised by an inefficient GSP hub system.

Exactly the same issue with a tracked 24 signed for item to GSP hub, not showing any updates/delivery to hub by Royal Mail. First time this has happened to me with a GSP item and only since the change over.

The problem lies with Royal Mail as they failed to confirm delivery to the GSP hub.

It might be worth making claims against Royal Mail for loss via their claims page here. If they do have a delivery scan they will almost certainly update the tracking once the claim is received.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

I have two items i sent  to GSP on 10 the Feb which are still showing as stuck at the RM hub  and I've not had the usual email confirming my items have been shipped from GSP so am assuming something has gone wrong at the hub and they are still there! I sent another  item two days ago and that is showing as delivered to GSP.

Exactly what I am seeing with mine. No confirmation of delivery at ebay, just stuck at Midlands super hub with no further tracking. Really worried and no idea when I will get the hundreds of pounds ebay have on hold of mine. The irony is that ebay recommend using global shipping for 'peace of mind'.

In same position. Do ebay message you when item has moved on from Pitney Bowes?  No idea where my item is. First time I have used GSP and looks like the last.

Yes, it happened to me for the first time too. The item was no doubt delivered but appears as in transit and currently at North West Midlands MC since 14th February. My funds are on hold. I can start a claim but you have to wait 2 weeks before you allowed to do that and it will take even longer for RM to confirm issues with scanning.

Of course, the package in limbo is the one I can't find a certificate of posting for, despite it clearly having been posted as seen in RM tracking...

It depends on the service used. Claims for anything sent via 1st Class or 2nd Class (including Signed For) retail services can only be made 10 working days after the due date. Claims for items sent via Special Delivery can be made 5 working days after the due date.

Non-account Tracked services are subject to a different set of terms and conditions (PDF file) that state: "You must make a claim for loss or damage in writing, as soon as possible after the date the Item was due for delivery and in any case within 80 Days of the date we accepted the relevant Item".

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

I also had a situation a few weeks ago where an Australia bound item at the GSP hub had an issue with an update of "License plate is voided", which I understand means that they voided the hub to buyer tracking number. The tracking never updated with a new reference number, and hasn't updated since January 29, with delivery still pending according to tracking. I'd still be assuming that the item never reached the buyer if it wasn't for the fact that he messaged me last week to let me know that he'd received it.

There are clearly issues going on at the hub which need to be sorted.

I have the same problem, the item has been delivered but it does not show in the Royal Mail tracking. The buyer left positive feedback a few days ago but the funds remain on hold. Someone on here posted that for low value items (which mine is) the funds would be released if feedback confirmed delivery -  but that has not happened.

It is increasingly difficult to keep track of payments under the new systems, especially if you don't use simple delivery. I do resent being forced to use Evri, which is effectively what is happening.

Given there have been several other threads regarding GSP hub delays there are obviously some issues at the GSP hub (Pitney Bowes). However, Royal Mail failing to obtain a delivery scan (or failing to deliver at all) is a Royal Mail problem; not a GSP one.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

I'd suggest that anyone experiencing such GSP hub issues speaks to customer service in order to complain. After all, sellers having their money on hold owing to inefficiency at the hub isn't exactly a minor issue.

I have GSP parcel stuck in North West Midlands MC since 12th Feb as well. No idea if it is lost or RM missed scanning. Waiting and hopeful to get a GSP update... funds on hold until who knows when...

The items aren't stuck in the hub.

I contacted RM, the problem is the postman in many cases does not scan the qr code when handing to customer or popping through letterbox.

Sometimes with a handful a letters it awkward on a rainy windy day so they just post them, I can't blame them tbh. Not a problem usually however through ebay changes, buyers can now scam the seller now because of this and its getting worse as people catch on.

It is also a hub issue as there's clearly a long delay in items being processed there. It would help to be told exactly what is going on there.
