As an Ebayer since 2000, I am well used to being treated as second class in comparison to my customers. Only two months ago, Ebay found in favour of an American customer who didn't go to his post office to collect his item even though I had supplied him with a tracking number, costing me £82.00. Now we are expected to wait 2 days - maybe longer! - after our items are delivered to get our funds. How is that meant to work and how is it even fair? How will Ebay monitor when the items are delivered, will they rely on the 'honesty' and diligence of the buyer to actually tell Ebay they've received the item?
If this goes ahead, I will leave Ebay for good. Anyone else *bleep* off about this?

They will rely on the tracking showing as delivered. Untracked items will be paid for after 14 days.

an interesting question for eBay is what would now happen regarding your American customer case now?
eBay clearly states that items are considered delivered 14 days after despatch, and, that tracked item will be paid 2 days after delivery.... well, delivery to a oost office is afaik 'delivered'

A better deal than ebay hanging on to funds for ages hoping we
would spend them buying. This is now changing. The whole idea of 'Simple Delivery' is to get delivery confirmed and payments out quickly.
The real foot stamping should come from the 75p+ 4% fee to buyers that kills the cheap selling end of the market and simple delivery taking the postage decision away from sellers unless opting out every listing.
Does waiting 14 days really make a difference to not eating and not heating?

A recent item I bought did not get scanned as delivered by Royal Mail ..consequently, the seller did not get the funds passed over. If you use a "tracked" service, it will constantly show "undelivered" and no payment will be made ..ever ! I had to let him know I had it ... I still don't know if he got paid. This is the final straw for sellers. What have we got to do ...tell the buyer to phone the carrier with the tracking number and ask them to mark it as delivered ?? yeah, like that is going to happen .. prepare for the auto-refund from your credit card.

Your seller should've still got paid after 14 days.
