AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

I agree. There's no need for large letters to be treated differently to standard ones, and the £20 item value cover has been standard with RM for how many years now? 20 years or longer. It always made me laugh how the cost of sending increased year on year while the level of service reduced in value.

And since £20 is ok to cover letters and large letters there's no reason why it isn't ok for £20 items posted in SMALL PARCELS too.

Basically, only impose a requirement for tracked postage on those items that actually need it!

While continuing to allow sellers to opt out of SD, obviously.

I used to do Taster Sessions on how to sell on Ebay at my local library where I worked. This was some 20 years ago. 

But now, I pity any staff trying to keep up with the changes whilst showing fairly newbie sellers on what to do!

I have got into more trouble since SD started than in all my time on the forum!!   Says everything to me.

I am in the process of changing sites,  paid my money up front but got a problem which should be sorted out this week by my tech savvy relative!

My request to all sellers where possible close your ebay account. Ebay have become too complacent. Many have already closed their ebay accounts. Feedback means jack nowadays. Ebay have done nothing for seller to retain feedback. SD and BP will drain 90% of private seller accounts. Not to mention selling limits. I mean seriously, I sell 4wheels and a phone and I have touched the selling limit. Ebay has become a laughing stock. Many sales are down by far.

she means give it a try before leaving!  She is living in hope, people will either stay or go and nothing she says (apart from saying that it will be optional again) will change that.   As soon as i get my new site up and running i will be gone as well until they change again - if ever, but i live in hope!)

I've given up on the weekly chat. I joined it twice. I asked 4 questions that I thought were reasonable and the only one that was answered properly was being told that the forums were not moderated by A.i.

I just received a email and message announcing the changes happening on the 20th May.

The one that really annoys me is the promotional offer where they will match the RM price for small and medium parcels until the 19th May.

After that the normal SD Price will apply. In other words that surely means a higher price for sellers ??.

I've been on the phone now to 2 different agents 1 was early hours of morning so went through to a usa agent who was due to finish. Tried again 10am & explained I can't revise my items to add needed extra information ( important info that could help usa buyers round the ridiculous price hike in their postage another  ruining it for sellers)  & also I now can't relist a item I deleted in hopes relisting method would give me back the ability to switched to advanced posting options but hasn't nor can through sell similar so I've now a item down out my inventory because nothing works if I try listing as collection only and try switching back postage still no option to custom. All the woman gas said this morning us its now Mandatory I don't have any choice. So that's it will be having to sell elsewhere. EBay are a absolute shambles!!@!
