AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

It's the control and greed mentality here now that has totally wrecked this platform. It's only my morbid interest in wanting to see this platform sink that keeps me interested.

SD is a absolute joke. BPF is a total farce. Paying to promote listings is a pure money grabbing scheme. Allowing foreign sellers to pretend they are UK sellers is another bad joke.

And now they are trying to gain more control over who buyers buy from and lessening genuine UK private sellers chances of selling.

I absolutely despise 🤬 what this platform has become.

Ebay has become a total sham, Zero views on my listing, can’t even find it when I search for it. 

I have found exactly the same on the few non-SD listings that I have on eBay. No matter how I search, some of my items simply don't show up in the search results. Presumably explaining why there are no views on some.

the word 'underhand' applies to much, or most, of what eBay is doing. The sooner it folds, or gets taken over by someone with some nouse, the better.

Absolutely right. Underhanded, unscrupulous, and lack of clarity and communication has made this one of the worst selling and buying online platforms.

I wonder if that magnifying glass icon is appearing on business sellers' images as well.  If so, somebody might click the icon, thinking that they're going to get an enlarged image, but although they're taken to competitors' listings, would the original seller get charged for the click if they've enrolled for click promotion.  I don't know enough about the clicking system or business selling, but nothing would surprise me where ebay's revenue-generating creativity is concerned.

I don't think it's appearing on many listings - I've only seen it so far on helgo_59's.  According to the article posted by Value Added Resource, it's one of the features being tested.

You are so right regarding nothing would surprise me regarding what they do here now.

They might introduce a new category specifically for Cheap Foreign tat, and I'm not surprised that they are manipulating what listings can be found easily or what hoops potential buyers have to jump through just to try and find them.

To sell advertising; classic no-value-added rent seeking activity, an income stream out of thin air, just don't expect it to last as it will destroy the actual market/platform as all it does is cause effective inflation/consumer costs to cover the extracted monies to ebay.

Getting a bit fed up myself!  Just been put onto Simple Delivery (yeh for who? - only eBay!).  And found they have also changed my dispatch time from 5 days to 2 days!  I now have to change them all to 3 days as I can't get out the PO every day!

It's ok for business sellers to have a next day or 2 days dispatch - not all private sellers live with a Post Office on their doorstep - especially since the Post Office significantly reduced their locations by nearly half in the last couple of decades.  I used to have one within walking distance - but now I have to use my car or take a bus!  So my items are dropped off after work but now due to health issues can only work 2 days a week.

It is now getting very stressful which it needn't be!

Strangely the magnifying glass isn't on either of bojangled's images that I see.

How strange, just looked again and it's still on the lego minifigures for me. I click on it and it takes me to loads of other listing's of mini figures.
