AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

I went to the list page of prices as well and yes its not there.
But items I listed this morning were 3.44 have now changed to 3.64 and a new listing done half an hour ago is showing the 3.64 price only and up tp 2kg at 5.15 no mention of small or medium parcel.
I haven't been swapped over to SD yet but I was listing some on it to try it out.

Tried to finish a new listing: pictures don't upload. A technical issue it seems.

"Tried to finish a new listing: pictures don't upload. A technical issue it seems. "
It could be that the photos are disappearing during the course of the listing being changed to Simple Delivery - that's what seems to have happened to mine at any rate.

It could be unrelated but I’ve just tried to post photos to a buyer on messages. 4 times they have stayed blank.

Ebay asked how they could improve the "End Listing" experience. Why don't they ask "Why are you ending it". That was the unasked question I answered anyway, as follows:
I can see you’ve started adding Simple Delivery to my listings so I’m taking them all down as I won’t be using SD. My listings will only be put back if you make SD optional.

PS. You can only see if the listing has changed to SD if you go to Revise Listing, and then a banner appears advising of the change.

They are not thinking, just looking to rip both sellers and buyers off.

The photos issue seems to be affecting all sellers, business as well as private (there are at least a dozen different threads on the subject now), so I doubt that it is related to Simple Delivery.

"So they picked some 'low value' sellers who happened to fit the bill in some way, whether or not with a second glance it made any real sense to give the advice that they needed to re-register. If they never sold anything again, ebay minimised its loss."
Yes, I remember thinking that the wrong sellers entirely were being targeted to upgrade and scared off too. But also wondered whether Ebay were even bothered about businesses operating on private accounts? Just as long as the buyer fees kept coming in it just felt like a way of monetising those. Plus with the payment retention and now SD rolled out on top...
It's all big business. Whether or not you run a business.

It looks like a back end server issue. Mainly effecting new listing but some ending soon are struggling to load images that the referenced against the listing.

Just seen those threads, I hadn't seen them at the time, too busy Ending my listings as quickly as possible in case somebody bought an item that had been changed to SD.

I don't blame you.
This really will be the final straw for a lot of people.

All the hassle that is being caused for people just to get more money.

Sorry to hear you are another user that is fed up with what is happening.

Maybe it's the big surge to get the remaining people onto SD by the 20th.
15-05-2025 9:09 PM
Hope you managed to end them in time.
I think a lot of others will be ending listings too.
Then it will be noticeable on here.
15-05-2025 9:11 PM
Hope it wasn't a hack attempt with the amount of details they hold on everyone
15-05-2025 9:12 PM
That is scary.
Bank details and for some users even NI numbers.

Even photos on a lot of existing listings had disappeared.
Who knows what goes on here nowadays.
