AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

The sad truth is that, unless eBay's bottom line takes a big enough hit from this flawed policy, it'll be here to stay.*
The 'hit' will only happen if enough private sellers stop selling - and, as others have mentioned, also stop buying.
Even if that happens, it will be months before it shows in eBay's financials and they react accordingly.
Whether we choose to wait around long enough to see if change is forthcoming and return to selling here, go elsewhere for good, or bite the bullet and continue is entirely down to us.
*Unless, of course, bodies like the FCA, CMA, Financial Ombudsman become involved.

I relist, and relist, and relist. I sell similar if I want to sell something similar! Oh God, I need a lie down!!

Can you view the pages as 'listings'? If so, you should also be able to view the photos and then save them to your PC (right-click and 'save' if using Windows)

Take a screenshot of it, then crop the extra detritus out.

I agree. A Lie down, a holiday, and some headache relief tablets is what's needed.

Not trying to be funny but if you’ve had listings up for so many years that you can’t find the photos it strikes me that it might be a good idea to find the items, check them over, take new photos and refresh your descriptions.

I’ve listed here for the last five years and never had anything up for more than a few weeks before it sold.
I’d ‘end listing’ every week and sell similar using the same listing to (in theory) get it before more eyes on a Sunday. It could have been my imagination that it helped but it seemed to be an effective strategy, so…

Haha, no offence taken! I had over 250 vintage knitting patterns listed that I inherited from my mother in law. I ended them last week apart from the ones that had watchers. My other listings are paused under 'time away'. When I originally took the photos over 6 years ago, it took me weeks. Literally. The thought of photgraphing them all again makes me want to grab the lighter fuel and make myself a nice bonfire. I could put them all in the recyling bin but some of them are from the 1940s and they are in fact wonderful pieces of social history so it seems sad to not try to match them to someone who would be interested

Well, another 24 hours on from SD Day, a couple of hundred more posts read with a few deliberately ambiguous answers revealed from eBay together with a potentially explosive admission from EVRI. What`s next? Tune in tomorrow for the latest instalment as the plot continues to defy logic, disappearing into an ever deeper hole of eBay`s making.

Andyf117 thanks, but it only saves it as a thumbnail, but it was worth a shot and I appreciate your help.

Are you viewing the individual pages themselves, or the 'list' of your listings?
If the latter, then yes, you'll only get the thumbnails - but for each page, seen as a buyer would see it, it works.
I just viewed a completed listing of yours from Jan 30, and could download both pics from it - right-click and 'save' the main image window, not the previews on the left...

I actually did think that might be my only option, but I have 250 vintage knitting patterns to sell (listed until last week when I ended them all in a fit of temper!) and the thought of doing that makes me want to weep. When I originally listed them after I inherited them from my mother-in-law, it took weeks to photograph them. I'm guessing that cropping a screen shot might be marginally quicker than photographing the buggers again but the prospect does not fill me with joy. Cheers eBay!

I do 10 day auctions, thinking that if you do the same 7 days i.e Sunday to Sunday, the same people see it on the same days. 10 days is a different rotation of people. It's OK, you can call me mad if you like.

if it doesn’t go into a large letter which is up to 1kg now , then whether it says 1kg or 2kg for parcel size the price will be the same if it’s Royal Mail 3.44 or 3.45

Right-click on the picture in the listing, select 'Open image in new tab' and, in the new tab, press Control & s to save.

Oh crumbs, don't destroy them, a lot of mine are vintage knitting patterns, everything will find another home EVENTUALLY. I did manage to sell 2 yesterday on custom delivery cos they are under 100g/under £10.

'Open image in new tab' isn't necessary - simply right-clicking and saving the main image downloads it at full-size...

Actually, what I used to do was, just before the end of the 30 day period when an item is due to auto-relist, I would END the item which puts it into unsold, and then relist from there as a new item, with a new reference number. I often found that soon after doing so, some items would sell, presumably because the item was treated as new and circulated to all the watchers. I never let items roll over from month to month where they go to the bottom of the pile.

There maybe a specialist FB group, I use one for maps
