AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

I don’t think so.
You can only see what’s up for sale or up for auction. Unless there is some advanced search for past items??

wood saws now need age confirmed delivery if selling on here ? and they (ebay) are slowly delisted the few chisels i have listed (so they will be going to the boot sale as well).

Yes in desktop view, on the right hand search list, scroll to bottom and you will see sold tick box, tick and voila here are all the sold items for the last 90 da6s.
In mobile select filter tab - scroll down - click on "show more" and its at the bottom.
It's a great tool for researching prices, I use it all the time.

I think you must need to be registered. I can only see closed listings. Doesn't say if they sold or not. Unfortunately a quick search of the kind of stuff I sell and nothing crops up.

Those numbers are too expensive in my opinion. I (and others) want to declutter their own stuff rather than it become a business, this monthly selling fee based on number of listings would be really off-putting.

Simple Delivery has appeared as an item on the Sky News web site, in the Money column. Doesn't say anything about the furore though. They've possibly simply reprinted a press release sent out by ebay.

You need to click on the closed item and scroll down
it will say something like sold with bin and show the price
There’s too much information on those pages, bit of a headache

A friend of mine said her partner has been stopped by ebay from selling filler caps for chain saws because ebay said they are bladed items .Absolutely stupid . Probably because he used the word chainsaw , but on the Royal Mail website there are plenty of things you can send through post as long as they are well wrapped but ebay are restricting so much which royal mail will allow .

Love what ebay say in the Troubleshooting Tips:
"If your item isn't accepted by the carrier, check that your parcel meets the programme requirements, package limits and complies with the relevant policies. If it does, try another drop-off location, if possible"
Thanks ebay, but any suggestions about what to do if it *isn't* possible to try another drop-off location?

I've now sold my first thing at the place ebay are badly copying and placed several orders. It all seems to be going well there so I'll duck out of these forums now as there's probably a limit to how many different ways to say ebay are unbelievable greedy, stupid and inconsiderate.
My ebay sales will remain on suspense for the rest of the month so I'll invest time moving more listings to the other place and then whatever's left that doesn't fit their categories will probably go back on sale here once I've assessed the damaged of ebay's unwanted editing.
Good luck to those that decide to continue using ebay as their primary platform I genuinely hope it doesn't go too badly for you on the 15th.

I'm glad you got your first sale there. Good luck with everything and I hope we'll see you in the forums at sometime. If not we might see you elswhere.

Not the best way for them to express themselves. A better tip would have been to say "we are sorry the programme doesn't meet your needs at present but it will be expanding at sometime".

Maybe it's not high end enough. Now if it was gold or silver it might be ok.

It's a shame that not all things are seen from both sides.

“Simple Delivery has appeared as an item on the Sky News web site, in the Money column. Doesn't say anything about the furore though. They've possibly simply reprinted a press release sent out by ebay.”
The Sun money website also addressed the problem, on 4th April
“An eBay spokesperson said: "Our model estimates the size and weight of the item using historic actual weight and dimension data.
"There can be some inconsistencies as not all items in a category will always fit within the dimensions expected.
If sellers believe their item exceeds the estimated parcel size, they are able to change this when listing their item."
They added that the Post Office has issued training to branches that each Simple Delivery item should be accepted as long as it is within the maximum dimensions the carrier accepts.
For the Royal Mail this is 61cm x 46cm x 46cm and less than 20kg.
The Post Office said it apologises to any customer who may have had a parcel declined.
A Post Office spokesperson said: “Customers can still drop off eBay parcels at our branches.
"A recent agreement between eBay and Royal Mail means Tracked 24 and Tracked 48 items no longer need to be weighed or size checked, making drop-offs at our branches even quicker.
"Postmasters were informed at the end of February and are adapting to this new process.””

We have 2 drop off shops one in the town and one a few miles away so the second one is not viable unless ebay have developed a Teleporter we can use ,why should I use my money to get to another drop off shop ,Post office was the best place to use in our town we trust Royal Mail to deliver our parcels to buyers doors ,not like Evri couriers who are paid by how many parcels they can deliver in a day so if they are short on time they just leave parcels where it suits them .They are not a patch on the service the Royal Mail give .

eBay thinks we all live in London and have plenty of choice for drop-off.
My invitation to eBay with "a parcel" : come to a Scottish island where we even don't have a post office anymore. Closed forever, good luck.
Not so simple as they suggest with complicated Simple Delivery.

I don't think we're anywhere near that limit yet though 🤣🤣🤣
