Multiple items sold to the same buyer but they couldn’t consolidate payment

Has anyone else had this problem. A buyer won the bidding on three items from me. She was unable to consolidate the payment. I was unable to raise another invoice to reduce the postage. She was able to pay for each item separately, which meant she would have to pay for three lots of postage.

I think it due to the “simple postage” system. After she had won the bid, I was not able to change the post method. I contacted customer service, they said it was her end not mine. She contacted them and they didn’t resolve the problem

Any ideas?

Combining postage has not been working for a while.   Probably to do with Simple Delivery, we just don't know for sure.    For the time being buyers have to pay in full then the seller issues a partial refund.  That will complicate the tracking for each one so an alternative would be to cancel the transactions (a refund would be issued) and relist with items on one listing and a single postage cost for the buyer to buy and pay again.

Some sellers are adding a note on their listings for any buyers wanting to buy multiple items to let them know first.   The items can then be relisted on one listing with one postage cost.

Yes, you're right and nobody has been able to combine postage for weeks now....

Unfortunately you only have two options here:

1. she pays all three separately and you refund her the excess postage.

2 .You and your buyer make the arrangement to cancel the sales then put them all up as one lot especially for your buyer . You title this lot 'for [buyer's name] 'so nobody else buys it!

Ebay CS talk an awful lot of old cobblers when they don't know the answer.

Which is a lot of the time.

Especially at the moment (with all the changes happening.)

Take everything they say with a handful of salt; you'll get much more useful info out of the mentors on these boards!
