Maybe Unique situation..: Selling privileges restricted

Hello people. I hope you can help..

I know there are many posts like my problem, but I can't find anything similar, so maybe it is unique. Or maybe I do not get something, I will try to explain my problems shortly and clearly. Starting with my "journey" to customer support 🙂

Few days ago, I got my selling privileges restricted. Restriction reason: High risk selling.

1. I contact live chat, get answer,  got explanation:  restricted due to the overall evaluation for the ‘good customer experience’.  However this restriction is permanent and further appeals are to be denied.

I checked, my seller's dashboard, and my reputation is everywhere above the standard. I asked again, what the problem, answer was they can't tell exact reason 🙂 Which sound crazy.

2. I contact eBay customer support via social media, which I heard from this community could help more. They replied fast, explaining that they can't do much, and gave me link to contact eBay customer support, and told me which team put the restriction. It appeared eBay HK site 🙂 Have no idea why, but whatever.

3. So I texted same message, with same questions to eBay HK customer support. Got answer that this decision is made based on BBE dashboard rate compared to the Market Average. And that I can appeal after 30 days.. Well OK, I thought at least something, not permanent. So I reply to this message that all my seller levels are above standard. Transaction defect rate, Late delivery rate and Cases closed without seller resolution all are 0.00% which I see as impeccable reputation of the seller.
4. I get reply to my last message: "As I have double checked the details, based on the evaluation of your account, your account’s bad buyer experience rate is much higher than average. Because of this, eBay has decided to restrict your account’s selling privileges. This restriction is permanent."

5. I became angrier and angrier. And to last message I replied them via email attached with print screens from my seller dashboard, which I do here to! 0.0% all is lower than market 4.4%!!!

So guys, my question is: am I blind? Am I an idiot? Or I do not understand something? Where to look more for my bad buyer experience, other than my seller's dash board? One day no appeal, another day appeal after 30 days. But all agents say same. Bad BBE rate..  I am very confused, because it is not lower than market, it is even perfect.. I am tired getting "template replies" from those eBay agents.. like copy/paste...

Maybe anybody has any more experience with this?

Would be really nice to get some help.

My guess would be you selling multiples of high brand  items.

Authentic or not,  ebay sometimes gives you a nudge to wisen up. if you don't then things gets into situation you are now.

Maybe Unique situation..: Selling privileges restricted

Well, maybe it could be some kind of reason. But I am not selling much. Mostly stuff from our family which we do not use, or some items that I get and I think I could get some profit. Nothing illegal.. And I think if something would be not authentic, I could get messages from the buyers, with disputes, claims etc. Anyway, this is not my main job. More just side job, or more for fun..

And this does not answer the questions, why agents, say same thing, which is no true regarding my BBE rating 🙂 It is like they would say, black colour is white, and vice versa.. Which is ridiculous.

Could your account be linked with another one? Somebody in the same house? or a family member perhaps?

If a 'connected' account has been stopped, your account may have been stopped by association.

these are the UK boards and you are in Lithuania, best log into your designated site - https://www.ebay.com/

However on the UK site permanent means you can never seller again.

The op can open a seller account on vinted but if items are valuable there are a lot of scammers to be wary of

ps I don’t get all the secrecy with restricted accounts

why not just tell them what they’ve done wrong

though in this case they did but we’re talking BS

Well, not at all. I am the only one in the family who has eBay account and use it since 2011 🙂 Had never had account suspended..

I originally registered to ebay.co.uk from the start in 2011 of my account. So I belong here 🙂 All Payouts etc. in my acc is handled by ebay.co.uk

Very strange and unfair, when there is no explanation... 😞 just telling BS.

Well I hope there will be a person with the exact or at least with the similar issue, and he or she could comment on this.. Because it is very "strange" when, company like eBay and it's customer support acts worse than robots, telling same BS all over and over again. I could understand if they would say something like: We see you as a risk to community, and we won't explain exact reason" Instead of saying something about my BBE rate which is OK, but they say it is not 🙂

In your shoes, I would request my data and see if there's a clue there:

Thanks a lot for the advice. I did it, and I will see what the report gonna say..

Meanwhile got another reply with the same nonsense. This time, a bit different 🙂

"We respect your selling style on eBay however, in the last few months, we have seen continuous increase in your Bad Buying Experience (BBE) rating. It is considerably high compared to market average which means a significant number of eBay buyers have had bad buying experience when transacting with you. This creates a bad buying experience, and we have noticed that buyers will no longer use the same site for future orders if they report an issue regarding their order. Because of this, eBay has decided to restrict your account’s selling privileges indefinitely."

They say in last few months.. :))) Checked last 3... 0.0% BBE rate..

Damn, I have never had experience like this in my life. When platform's customer support says FU* with long letters 🙂

Anyway, seems to be the solution.. To wait a month and appeal..

Ebay uk does not evaluate based on 'bad buyer experience'.

So what a hell is happening then? Again got reply, that now they say my INR rate is high. Which is 0%

I have never had issue with "item not received" from buyers since 2011 🙂

papso22 , then what do you think should I do? Text to eBay.com community, maybe there, sellers have similar issues?

Have you checked your Service Metrics as well as your Seller Dashboard? Service Metrics are here: Service metrics - eBay Seller Hub and it does sound like ebay may be referring to that as they mentioned comparison to market average. Service Metrics are where your returns and INRs are rated compared to similar sellers in the same categories. Make sure you toggle all the different options to see all your different ratings. If one or more of them is in the red and has been for several months without improvement then that could be your issue.

You should be on the .com community boards, you are obviously being evaluated in a way we don't have in the UK, so we can't help you.
