Listing / Insertion Fees For One Day Auction

Ever since eBay for private UK sellers started offering zero sellers fees, have been taking advantage of such.

However my last x2 listings were low value, however when I got paid I noticed there was £.70 deducted from my final payment!

Confused I called eBay customer support, who basically said that as both listing were listed as x1 day auctions, that is classed as a premium listing and incurs listing fees.  He then went on a jobsworth ramble stating that this was highlighted in the terms and conditions!

I complained, stating that eBay had raised this huge fanfare of zero listing / selling fees only to hide caveats within the T&C's!

He promptly arranged a refund of my £0.70 insertion fees, but hey, thought it was worth a ranty poo here to highlight to others...

...if you change your auction to 1 day, you'll be charged listing fees

(x7 and x5 days are still free)

Listing / Insertion Fees For One Day Auction

1 day auctions have never been free as far as I remember

It should also show the fees at the bottom before you click list with displayed fees

Not exactly hidden, it's on the private seller fees page:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/fees-private-sellers?id=4822&st=3&pos=1&qu...

Always best to check first - especially with the way things change on here.
