Limited visibility of my items on ebay.com. How to fix it ?

Hi. Newbie here. Recently listed a few items on ebay.co.uk, now want to make them available for purchase in the USA as well. I have added shipping to the USA in the postage policy section, but my items only show up in ebay.com search results when the filter "Item location > Worldwide" is enabled. How can I make them show up on the "Default" setting of this filter as well? Thank you

You can't.

If somebody in the US is searching for items same as what you're selling they'll have to select 'worldwide' in their search if they want to view items being offered outside of the US.

The only other way would be to pay extra for International Site Visibility if the option is available to you when listing:

Maximise your item's visibility in search results on eBay.com and eBay.ca. If your listing is eligible for this upgrade and not already appearing on these sites, you'll have the option to add it on as part of the listing experience. Make sure you've specified postage options for the US and Canada so buyers will know what international P&P will cost.

Opt into eBay's Global Shipping Programme which handles all the bugbears of that. If you are selling new consumer goods, unless they are quite "exclusive", I doubt they are worth offering on the US market where consumers have vast choice at low prices: the vast discounters" can offer retail prices which are smaller  than retailers have to pay the wholesalers for stock. The UK has enough well-heeled consumers for most items. I find I make less on International sales because the 10% of FVF+shipping+tax is often greater than my profit. It is only worth it if there is a bidding fight on an item and how often does that happen nowadays?

I didn't see anywhere the "International Site Visibility" option when I created the listing, ebay didn't offer it to me. I have a new account with little sales history, maybe that's the reason 😞
