This new and recent talk by subscribers of a fixed monthly fee for sellers is getting out of hand being a non-starter and will only add to the other current nonsense including BPF and SD.
Go back to where we were 12 months ago …. seller fees on new listings, seller to do their own thing when despatching using their preferred deliverers eg local Post Office Outlet, marking items when despatched thus buyer knows its on its way etc.
It WAS a good and fun place to sell and buyer before, but no more …. Perhaps eBay don’t care and are more than ever before, motivated by greed
As with any other company, eBay are obviously concerned to maintain and increase their bottom line but surely at this moment in time, that is not and will not be achieved whilst they continue to find sellers and buyers leaving their site.
Three words to eBay management …. KEEP IT SIMPLE.

I agree 100%. The only option is for them to reverse current changes, especially BPF and SD and openly apologise to the sellers, which will minimize the long term damage to ebay. Will they do it ? Under current managment ? I seriously doubt that.

How many nails can you hammer into one coffin?

The changes wouldn't affect you if you upgraded to a business seller. And given you state you are a ltd, I assume you are.

OK. We who are not business sellers add a huge amount of diversity to an otherwise commerical outlet that is outmatched on every other scale by Amazon. Private sellers are just that: not able or intending to afford to run a business but selling accumulated or inherited items. Becoming a Business Seller is not the issue here.

It may well be for the seller I responded to. who, again, states they are an ltd but is on a Private Seller account.

Where on earth do I state that I'm a Limited company ? I'm a private seller, in the future maybe I will upgrade to business, but I never stated at any stage in any of my listings that I'm a business ???

I'm not sure there are any private sellers who just happen to have 15 boxes of 125 board backed envelopes they have collected/outgrown/inherited. Not to mention the other packaging stuff!

You absolutely right, if ebay go back 12 months before the changes, it will be much better.

I'd love to see the topic post that suggests alternative to Ebay and a healthy debate and being educated on the world outside of Ebay , now that we know there is one......most people who sell don't just use Ebay, which there was a time when if you wanted to buy or sell this was the place they WERE the trendsetters, these days most people have Ebay and another platform they use

it’s about 43% of your user name.
falsely claiming to be an Ltd can have legal repercussions.
id also agree that the nature of what you are selling would suggest you should be a business seller.

Suggest! It’s blatant business trading using a private account. Until eBay level the playing field there will be great unjustness felt from correctly registered users. A business can not compete against the private business traders. EBay needs to take a step back and look at the mess their lax and weak stance is creating. Grr

some posters get bent out of shape if you try to point out businesses.
