Is there a ray of hope for sellers?

A buyer falsely claimed (via eBay messages) that an item I sold was SNAD and demanded a replacement without returning the item. I refused and advised them to open a dispute with eBay. Next thing, they left me disgusting negative feedback calling me a scammer and con merchant (eBay refused to remove it). They did not open a dispute with eBay but opened a case with their payment provider. Today I received the following message from eBay...................

Here's the dispute outcome

The buyer's payment institution sided with you and there's nothing else you need to do.

Not only that but the negative feedback was removed restoring my feedback from 78% to 98%.

It didn't happen on this posting I.D.

Surprised eBay didn't remove the feedback when you first asked,  because name calling is not allowed when leaving feedback.

Looks like you got hold of a CS agent who did not possess  full knowledge of eBay's policies! 🤔

Good to hear it's all sorted,  and justice prevailed ! 🤗

Sounds like that buyer has been flagged up by their payment provider.

And don't forget to add them to your Blocked List so they can't buy from you again.  For the really bad ones I add their eBay id and their email address.
