Sold some empty old cigar boxes and would you believe that they have been recycled as guitars and banjos.
I take my hat off to these resourceful buyers converting an ordinary item into something totally different and very collectable and indeed which then sell for a lot of money. Take a look at cigar box listings and you will see what I mean.
Have you sold anything that has been converted and subsequently re-sold?

I save all my hole-y worn out pure cashmere and bundle it in lots of 2kg for craftmakers. Don't know what they made with them, but imagine it is something cool like this...
Have an artist friend who buys vintage cashmere jumpers, carves life-size wooden wild animal forms (rabbits, deer, moose) and covers them with recycled cashmere 'fur'.

One of the worst things about 'modern life' is the amount rubbish we create. I read a lot of reviews & feedback etc, and it is depressing how often a comment about some minor flaw/dissatisfaction, will end with 'I threw it in the bin'.
So, it is always really good to hear of items that would otherwise very likely get thrown away, being creatively reused & given a new lease of life. 😊 👍

The use of Cigar boxes as Guitars goes back to the 1700`s in America, where `Negro` people would use cast off Cigar boxes (in plentiful supply at the time), to make a three string guitar, as `Real` guitars were expensive and unaffordable. Much of American `Blues` music originates from this period. If you want to see just how good these Cigar box guitars can sound, then look up some videos of the musician `Sea Sick Steve`.
