The customer service of ebay sucks and doesn't do their job. I've seen ebay go from hero to zero and I've now had enough. Gone are the days when I could phone a real human being and discuss an issue. That's no longer possible it seems.
I had a problem with a buyer who gave me negative feedback and lied through his teeth in the comments he made. Would they remove the feedback ? Nope ? I reported the buyer for the misinformation he quoted in his feedback and got a message from ebay that they would look into the matter and get back to me. Did they ? Nope.
With a feedback score of almost 1000 and at 100% and with ten of thousands of pounds sold on ebay they seemingly have literally just ignored me as a seller. Well, this is their loss but I've now had enough and won't either buy or sell here again.
Have fun guys but if you don't want similar treatment from this shoddy second rate organisation I'd leave right now.

Well, I finally managed to get an ebay customer service person to phone me back and he did clarify a few points so, whilst I'm obviously not happy in getting a negative feedback from the buyer at least ebay removed his comments which were total lies. So I'm partially happy with the resolution.

I am not far behind you out of the door, it used to be fun, people had respect for each other , now buyers know it’s a free for all to abuse and take advantage of sellers knowing that eBay will back them , customer service just sucks

I have just left ebay after 18 years for the same reason.
I'am saddened by your decision to leave.....That is the response I got from customer service.
6 times by 6 different people...Its obvious what is going on at ebay.. Now they just sit there and wait for the payout at their end..
The rest is left to the seller. I used to be able to go to work and get about my business knowing my goods were taking bids.. In the past year I have sat over ebay concerned by what might go wrong next..
