I knew eBay's generosity wouldn't last for long. I don't much care about the fees; I just wish they'd make up their minds and stop changing things around.
How will the new fees affect auction listings? Will auction listings be exempt ( I doubt it,) or will buyers need to pay more than what they bid? If so, I can foresee a lot of bidders refusing to pay when they they realise they need to pay more than they thought.

EBay have the cheek to decide that when you’re relisting or sell similar or even revising that you should go for simple delivery so it defaults to it !!
no, I spent ages doing the custom postage thing and I expect that to be replicated on a relist not being forced to go through the rigmarole again
honestly
can’t get the staff these days
oh
Maybe that’s the problem
what with no sales or barely any and a headache to operate on here they’re cruising very very close to losing LOADS of customers
sometimes enough is enough and people will take their chances elsewhere if they don’t get their act together

I don’t use EBay for parcel force, for the reasons you mentioned, I go direct. Also I have had 2 instances recently whereby I had to cancel Royal Mail labels bought through eBay using existing funds which I still have not received a refund for. Royal Mail say EBay responsible for sending the refund, eBay say Royal Mail, contacted Packlink who say they don’t recognise the tracking numbers, hence no refund for postage. Am going via Royal Mail website from now on and paying via PayPal as is anything goes wrong PayPal always help very efficiently and sort things for me! Thanks EBay for yet another stupid system you have in place.

Very soon users, particularly sellers will get wise to all this, I am getting to the point where I am thinking this just isn’t worth it, the stupid buyer protection, now some idiotic postage scheme (which I won’t use), what next! Do they actually want private sellers, I don’t think so except they do to make money from them indirectly by charging buyers a fee. I don’t pay an extra fee when ai go to a shop yet if something is wrong I can take it back and be refunded, oh hang in didn’t that used to be the way eBay worked without charging buyers extra!!!!!!
