OK so listing some items tonight
good news first - even though Simple Delivery is now being pushed I can opt out to custom settings and select my standard shipping rates
bad news - I have to opt out of Simple Delivery every time I list even though I am listing similar items. Really?
This is from ebay itself: You can opt out of Simple Delivery when you're creating your listing by selecting Custom Postage from the delivery options. If you'd prefer not to use Simple Delivery at all in the future, you'll need to opt out each time this programme is recommended when you're creating listings.
I mean what does that last sentence mean anyway?

This new forced simple postage which is ironically less simple than the advanced option is driving me mad. I don't want buyer to select which postage they want. I NEED to control it myself so I can track it properly

I also don’t want the customer to choose the delivery option. I can walk to the Evri drop off. Have to get in a car for Post Office and Yodel and inpost lockers are literally miles away.

I’m trying to relist tonight and the option to do custom delivery is not there have they took the option away and just doing simple delivery now?

My relist is ok switch to advanced options and again then it comes up custom postage and it's still there RM 2nd class letter £1.10, not that i'm relisting or listing at all fed up with wasting my time for next to nothing. I was just testing it

Not there on the app for me either
on the browser it doesn’t like it and freezes when I click on advanced options to get custom postage

I wouldn’t use the app for anything. It’s useless. Even when it still possible before the “glitch” you couldn’t combine postage on the app

when you come to postage, there are four boxes, if you want to post yourself click on one of the others (eg collection only) then click back to postal only and the custom box will come up underneath. There is either a glitch showing only SD or e bay are trying to force people to use it. When i was relisting i was about to delist my items and give up completely (NOT using SD now or ever) when i did my usual and started clicking around and found out how to get to custom postage. Apparently you can also click advanced search but this is just as easy for me.

Anyone out there (including the moderators) know if this problem with selecting postage is a deliberate thing by e bay or a glitch?

Advance option is available online I’m not sure if the app has a glitch as I can’t find away to get advanced/custom postage options to show. Also if it goes on with sd it’s saying postage is free for buyers but in the listing edit it says buyer pays postage. Come on EBAY sort it out!!!

did you try the four box way? I do not do the app (old phone which i love!) but certainly on desk top it works.

For a second it looked like Simple delivery had ended but as i was changing the primary postage cost in the buyer pays box it jumped back to Simple delivery /custom postage ## so started again just more of a pain

You have to go into advanced postage twice to get to custom postage
