An Ebay member in Sweden wants to purchase an item from me but is getting a message saying that I do not ship to Sweden. All my items have the GSP option shown in the listing. Can anyone explain why my potential customer is unable to purchase from me.

You adverts say you post to Sweden, but they need to contact Seller.

Have you entered the International Postage or Clicked GSP?

Thanks for your reply. I have been using GSP for sometime but this is the first problem I have encountered. I have never stated that I need to be contacted if the customer is from Sweden. Where exactly have you seen this? Sweden is not on the list of countries that I do not ship to.

Same ive sold through GSP for years and now its not there.just sold an item to the usa and they contacted me about sending,it usually just goes through GSP.dont know why ive gone in to update or list something new and its not there anymore

For years I used to ship Internationally myself & found that at times GSP was switched on without my knowledge, so I always kept an eye on the setting.

As you are a Private Seller & Simple Delivery has now started. eBay may have clicked the GSP setting off for all Private sellers, so they are starting with a Blank canvas. This leaves the Private Sellers aware of their up-to-date Settings & can click on the GSP setting or add the International postage.

If you Press 'eBay help' top of page, & type in Simple Delivery.  This will explain the International sales/postage requirements for a Private Seller.

There seems to be quite a few problems going on with the GSP at the moment. I was asked if I'd post an item to the US, which I knew was included in the GSP countries I would ship to. That turned out to be because of the tariff situation in the US, but I was not aware of that at the time, so I was surprised that the buyer had not been able to purchase via the GSP.

I think if there is a problem with a country for some reason, the buyer sees a default 'will post but need to contact seller' message. 

I don't know what the problem is with Sweden, though!

Thanks for your reply. I've seen several posts on the Members to Members board highlighting much the same thing. It would appear that USA and Sweden are affected.

That was almost 2 months ago, so obviously this is an ongoing issue, unfortunately.

GSP currently does not work on eBay.co.uk; this is likely down to an issue with the Buyer Protection fee and EU VAT. eBay does not have a region-specific website for Sweden so Swedish buyers will either be using eBay.co.uk or eBay.com when buying from UK sellers.

Direct your buyer to purchase via eBay.com - they should then be able to complete their purchase.

It doesn't matter; all the OP's listings are showing the same thing along with every other UK seller using GSP. Browse any of the OP's items, click "See details" and change the delivery country to "Sweden" then click "Update". It will not show a delivery charge; it will simply state "Check item description or contact seller for postage options."

Now, change the ".co.uk" to ".com" in the URL so you are looking at the same listing on eBay.com. Doing the above will now show "International priority shipping" along with a shipping cost.

Checked the original member's thread / items on eBay.com as you suggested & they are now all showing Swedish postage via GSP.

The last time I sent a GSP was the 14 July and that was going to Italy  and it arrived the 30th of July

I’m also having this problem. I have GSP turned on for pretty much all my items. I’ve recently has someone from ~Ireland ask to buy something and I had to add international postage on , and today I’ve had someone from Australia ask why they’re not included in the GSP. I’ve made no change to my service so something isn’t right.
