Yep - that's what this topic is about!

Did the item get there in the end with no issues?

Still en route - GSP is very, very slow!

So it hasn't cleared customs yet?

I was just told by CS that GSP to the USA is suspended due to the tariffs. I had an offer and wasn't sure if I could accept it safely. They said to decline it as the customer would be unable to pay if I accepted it. It's a mess, not sure why it's even possible to make offers/buy items that would not ship???

Not reached the USA yet. GSP is incredibly slow.

Had a GSP sale to the USA in the last 24 hours so it does not seem to be suspended at present. The official Ebay post on here says it is operating.

If customer service (apart from the Irish team) told me the sky was blue, I'd be looking out the window to check. I'd take what they say with a pinch of salt, but obviously the situation isn't helped by eBay rarely issuing updates.

I can finally confirm GSP seems to be working. Shipped an item on 9th September, it arrived today 21st September. So really quite slow UK-USA, but it got there.

Just sold my first GSP for several months, considering it accounts for around 50% of my sales it’s a bit of a relief.

You're lucky!
I have GSP selected. If I look at any of my listings pretending to be a buyer from another country that I say I ship to, I see the message, "Check item description or contact seller for postage options."
Even if I was willing to ship outside of GSP, which I'm not, too much faff, but if I was, how would I charge the buyer the shipping charge?

That's good to hear - did the item fall into a category exempt from tariffs such as a book/vinyl/CD aka "information materials"?
22-09-2025 2:45 PM
No nothing which would meet that description sorry.
22-09-2025 2:48 PM
Sorry I have no idea but the buyer paid around 15% in customs fees, which I guess are tariffs?

Its the opposite situation for us. We don't really want to use GSP at all, its slow, and just not as efficient. Still struggling to get the postage options working to only offer GSP to the USA, and have postage everywhere else available non GSP. The options given (and the video linked to by marco@ebay) do not actually work, and you seem to have the option to either have GSP everywhere, or nowhere, as the national exclusions list seems to exclude countries you want to send to!
What we are now doing is trying to let buyers know that we are shipping to the USA, but to contact us first so we can enable GSP on an individual listing. It is a faff but seems to be working. US sales massively down still though.
